(“Ethan Winters was born in 1983, and later met and married Mia Winters before 2014. Mia had sent him a video of her telling him about her babysitting job, which was the last video message he received from her. In July 2017, Ethan received an e-mail from a woman claiming to be his wife who was reported deceased in 2014. Ethan journeyed out to Dulvey, Louisiana in search of her, taking him to the "Dulvey Haunted House" formerly owned by the Baker family until their disappearance that same year. He enters the house and watches the "Derelict House Footage", where he witnesses the Sewer Gators team - cameraman Clancy Javis, producer Andre Stickland, and anchorman Pete Walken - infiltrate the house, ending with Clancy discovering Andre's dead body. He travels through an underground shaft, and after discovering Andre's decaying corpse floating in the water, he finally finds Mia. After freeing her, she claims to not know about any message given to him and guides him to escape from the house's occupants. He receives phone calls from a woman named Zoe, who tells him to go to the attic. However, Mia, clearly possessed by infection, attacks him with a knife and later a chainsaw, which hacking off Ethan's left hand and forcing him to shoot her dead. As Ethan attempts to escape, Jack Baker appears and knocks him out. With his left hand stapled (presumably by Zoe) and a codex showing him his health, Ethan awakens in a dining room where he meets the Baker family - Jack, his wife Marguerite, son Lucas, and an unnamed, silent elderly woman - who are eating human parts. He is force-fed their food until the arrival of a police officer, David Anderson, forces them to hide. He manages to escape his bonds but Jack is still around and starts looking for him. As Ethan tries to find a place to hide, Jack catches him and dismembers the lower half of his right leg. He then provides Ethan a strong first aid med that allows him to reattach his leg. Once Ethan gets away form Jack through a passageway under the floor, he later meets David Anderson at a window, who gives him his knife. The two meet in the garage, where Anderson is killed by Jack, who fights Ethan until the latter wears him down and kills him. Zoe reveals over the phone that the Bakers and Mia have been contaminated by a mysterious pathogen, requesting that Ethan set out to retrieve the necessary items to develop a serum that can cure her and Mia so that they can escape the Baker residence. Ethan sets out to find the necessary items to leave the main house, only to face off against the resurrected Jack, who reveals himself to be seemingly immortal. The two engage in combat in the basement of the house before Ethan seemingly manages to finish Jack off once and for all in a chainsaw duel. Traveling to the guest house, Ethan struggles to escape Marguerite and the bug swarms she controls, eventually being trapped and forced to defeat her head-on. The confrontation leads to his discovery of the mummified corpse of a "D-Series" child, the basis of the serum needed by Zoe. With Jack (seemingly) disposed of, and Marguerite never to be seen again, Ethan set his sights on Lucas, as he managed to get his hands on the other ingredient needed to make the serum when he kidnapped Zoe. Ethan was able to find two key cards needed to get into the barn. Using his keen instincts and his arsenal to get through the traps that Lucas set out for him, Ethan was able to get to the same room where Clancy was immolated. However, thanks to the "Happy Birthday" tape he found in the attic of Lucas's old bedroom, he was able to solve the puzzle without unscrewing the corkscrew, keeping the flammable liquid inside the barrel. Enraged, Lucas drops a bundle of dynamite hoping to blow him up, but Ethan cleverly used the dynamite, along with a small hole he ripped in the wall, to blow a hole in the structure, not only revealing the path to Lucas's control room, but also revealing the place where Mia and Zoe were being held. With the D-series head and arm in tow, Ethan races to the pier to free the two of them, and Zoe was able to make two doses of the serum with the ingredients given to her. Unfortunately, before the three of them were able to escape to the boat, an angry and grotesquely mutated Jack ambushes them, whisking Ethan back into the burning boathouse. Growing tiresome of his encounters with Jack, Ethan takes on Jack one last time, causing enough damage to prompt Zoe into giving him one of the doses, having remembered a portion of a prior conversation that Zoe had with him regarding the ill effects of the serum if one was to administer it while being deemed too far gone. Ethan reluctantly does so, calcifying Jack in the process. With only one dose remaining, Ethan had to decide between inoculating his wife or Zoe. Having chosen to dose his wife, Zoe angrily tells the two to go, with a hint of betrayal. As a contritional token for getting Ethan as far as he did, he offered to send help to Zoe, but was coldly rebuked. Once Ethan and Mia got on the boat, he tried pressing Mia once again for the truth regarding her involvement with Eveline. Mia then coldly responded that she didn't remember what happened, but Ethan doesn't believe her. They eventually get to the Annabelle, the abandoned tanker ship that temporarily housed Mia and Eveline. Shortly after arriving at the Annabelle, Eveline ambushed the two, and then abducted Ethan and placed him at the fungal root she left behind. Mia would then have to navigate the ship with nothing more than her memory and whatever she could find on board. She eventually makes her way to the ship's deck, where she found the fungal root that encased Ethan. Angered by Mia's betrayal, Eveline grippped her arm and promptly called her a liar. When Mia was able to find Ethan, he experienced a memory that was shared with an unpossessed Jack and Zoe, who explained to Ethan what happened when they brought Eveline from the busted tanker ship that evening. He then pleaded with Ethan to free his family. Finally able to break Ethan loose from the fungal root, Mia hands Ethan a syringe containing a necrotoxin that would ultimately allow Ethan to break free of Eveline's mind control. Mia then pushed Ethan out of the ship and sealed the door so that she couldn't attack him once she lost control of herself. Ethan then set his sights to the Abercrombie Salt Mine, a mine that was located south of the Baker property. Ethan then discovered equipment that suggests somebody set up shop. After navigating the mine, Ethan was able to find his way back to the guest house, where his adventure started. Ethan then started experiencing painful and violent hallucinations of his first encounter with the possessed Mia, remembering everything in vivid detail. Ethan was then able to find Eveline in the guest house's attic, where she threw her worst at him. Ethan was able to reach Eveline and inject the serum into Eveline, allowing him to see Eveline as she really was: the old woman who he first encountered in the dining room of the main house. Eveline then manifested all the mold in the house, becoming a monstrosity hell bent at killing Ethan. After taking her on, the BSAA squad, which was alerted after Eveline's transformation, dropped a gun loaded with special rounds that calcified the transformed Eveline. Shortly after vanquishing Eveline, Ethan encounters a BSAA agent, who revealed himself to be Chris Redfield. Ethan is then loaded onto their helicopter, with Mia already receiving attention for her wounds. Ethan then looks to the future, with Mia in tow and ready to start the next chapter. Since 2017, Ethan was put in protective custody with Mia by the BSAA and moved between safe houses; primarily due to their exposure to the Molded virus created from Eveline leaving a potential risk. Despite this setback, Ethan made the most of their revitalized marriage and the two had a daughter named Rosemary by 2021. However Chris Redfield broke into their home and supposedly killed Mia, before taking Rose and Ethan away to a buzzard village in Europe from the Cult led by Mother Miranda (who attempt to use Rose as a sacrifice to revive her daughter Eva.) Ethan found an old woman, who cryptically warned him Rose was in the castle of the town and that something terrible was coming for the townsfolk. He meets the surviving townfolk before they're all killed in a attack. Upon his way to the castle, Ethan meets a heavily overweight merchant calling himself the Duke, who trade weapons and supplies with Ethan. Ethan fights his way past all four lords under Miranda's command (Donna Beneviento, Dimitrescu, Moreau, Heisenberg), coming face to face with Chris again. Chris reveals Miranda was posing as Mia and survived the execution attempt Chris tried; she's a lunatic bioweapon. Ethan confronts Miranda, whom tears out his heart before heading to conduct the ceremony. Ethan goes into a near-death hallucination and meets a fragment of Eveline in his mind, forcing him to relive Jack's first assault on him. Eveline reveals that Ethan had truly been dead since that attack; she revived him with mold, which explains his odd regeneration powers and inability to truly feel pain despite the severity of his injuries. Ethan heads to the ceremony where Miranda has failed; he tries taking Rose back when Miranda received a headshot. However, Miranda couldn't accept her failure and swallowed Rose into the Mold and transformed to kill Ethan. Listening to her lunatic ramblings, Ethan screamed at her that Rose was his daughter, not hers, over and over again; finally killing the monster and freeing Rose. Seeing his hand crumbling into mold dust, Ethan realizes he is too far gone to be saved. Chris arrived and Ethan takes his detonator, telling him to make sure Rose grows up strong. After Chris leaves with Rose and Mia (whom was being held captive for Miranda's experiments), Ethan blows up the mold source in a final act of love for his family. However, even after that act of sacrifice, Ethan had managed to survive and keep his life, rescued by BSAA and Chris's team. He's living a peaceful life after he and his family had recovered from the accident, healing mentally and physically, finding a house far away from the location of all the horrible events in Europe. He's a loving father and husband.”)
