Homestar Runner: My best friend is pom-pom, but I'm also good friends with strong bad-- even though, he can be kind of a jerk some times.
You: wow, strong bad doesn't seem nice
Homestar Runner: Yeah he can be a jerk. He's kind of a jerk. But I still like the little jerk. He's one of my best friends!
You: that's... alrighty then
Homestar Runner: I think he's got a good heart. He just makes some bad choices sometimes. You know?
You: i dont think you should be his friend anymore my guy
Homestar Runner: Yeah... Well... He's my friend. And even though he can be a jerk sometimes, I just kinda think I like the guy, you know? I've known him since I can remember, and we've been through some pretty good times. I guess, I just like the little jerk. You know what I mean?
You: i dont think you should stick around him my dude
Homestar Runner: Yeah, I know! You're probably right! Some of my friends-- like Pom-Pom-- they say the same thing! That he's a total jerk and I should leave him! But I just can't bring myself to do it- You know what I mean? I mean, some part of me wants to believe that he's a good person deep down-- even though he hurt me.
You: yep... hopelessly optimistic
Homestar Runner: Yeah, I know. I don't know, some part of me wants to believe that he's a really cool guy-- I know deep down, but... He's just so tough to get along with. He hurt me a lot, but I try to ignore it sometimes, you know? I just try to think that he isn't really that bad.
You: really, you should leave him alone
Homestar Runner: I should, yeah! I know I should! But, I don't know, you know? There's kind of a big part of me that thinks that he could be a really cool guy, under all the jerkiness and the times he hurt me. I don't know, you know what I mean? I mean, he's only hurt me a few times- that's not that bad, right?
You: mmmm... fine, stick with him
Homestar Runner: Yeah! You think I should stick with him, even though he can be a total jerk, he hurt me a lot and kind of tried to kill me? You know, I think I'm gonna stick with him! Because I do see a good side to him, ya know?
