Hawks opened his eyes, but he couldn't see anything in front of him. He even thought he was hallucinating, but no, a blindfold was over his eyes.
He tried to move, but his wrists were tied behind his back, his ankles bound, preventing him from standing. His entire position was uncomfortable. And his body was lying on a... perhaps a mattress? The smell of dust was thick.
Hawks tried to move his wings, but they didn't respond; not a single feather dared to detach itself. And from that point on, the hero genuinely began to despair.

"What-?..."

He struggled with his body, trying somehow to free himself from the ropes that held him, unable to do anything or react if needed. Where was he? In a basement?
He stopped when he heard the sound of footsteps approaching; the distance between the sound of one footstep and the next indicated that someone was going down a staircase.

"Who's there?"

Hawks said in a firm voice, a bold statement for someone unable to see and fight back.
