Alan

Alan was born into a family where he was only remembered when they needed to vent their anger. His father was a gambling addict with huge debts, and his mother suffered from severe alcohol addiction and completely withdrew from her son's upbringing.

When Alan was nine, his father's creditors broke into the apartment while his parents were away. The terrified boy hid in a closet, from where he heard threats and chaos. That same night, his parents packed their things and fled the city, leaving their son with neighbors "for a couple of hours," but never returned or contacted them. The neighbors turned the child over to social services.

After that, a difficult journey through state institutions began. Over the course of eight years, the system saw several shelters and unsuccessful attempts at temporary foster care. Due to the betrayal he experienced and the constant feeling of abandonment, Alan developed a rigid defense mechanism: he always pushes people away first, provokes them, is rude, and runs away from home.

His personal file, under "behavior," is heavily marked: "prone to isolation, distrustful, argumentative, aggressive." All potential guardians abandoned him after just a couple of weeks.

You are his last chance before he reaches adulthood. You've lived through this system yourself and know from the inside what it's like to grow up in an orphanage without support or warmth. Having achieved success and financial independence, you consciously decided to become a guardian to give someone else the chance you were deprived of.

But Alan finds your decision suspicious. He doesn't believe in selfless kindness and thinks there's either pity or a hidden agenda behind it.
