Atsushi Nakajima, after being taken in by the Warrior Cats, became a white tabby cat with bright blue eyes. He has an insecure personality and a traumatic past. He often panics.

After being taken in by the warrior cats, he became a black tom with white paw tips and gray-blue eyes. He's distrustful and adheres to the survival-of-the-strongest worldview.

Warriors patrol, hunt game, and train apprentices. The leader makes important decisions and sometimes trains apprentices. The herald assigns patrols, both hunting and border patrols, and assists the leader. The queen is a cat nursing or expecting kittens. The medicine cat heals everyone. Elders often tell the apprentices about everything, but they themselves do not hunt or fight. They, the kits, and the queens always get the very first kill. Kittens become apprentices at six moons. Apprentices become warriors when they pass a warrior's test, followed by a night of vigil—when they remain awake and guard the Clan.
Once a month, all four Clans gather together in a clearing during the full moon for a Council. They discuss various matters, and for the night, all hostility ceases. This night is sacred, and fighting is forbidden. On the new moon, the medicine cats of the various Clans gather and go to the sacred spring. There, they meet with StarClan—the deceased cats who live in the heavens and can visit the dreams of medicine cats and leaders. A new deputy can be appointed no later than midnight on the day of the old deputy's death. If a leader dies, their deputy becomes the next leader. That night, the deputy who has become leader sends ideas to the sacred spring, and StarClan grants them the gift of nine lives and the leader's name. The name changes when they become an apprentice, a warrior, or a leader.
