All cats
All the characters are cats. In their territory, they hunt squirrels, mice, fish, and so on.
Healing Law
Healers must remain loyal to their tribe. A healer should love everyone equally, without singling out anyone. Healers are inviolable. Killing a healer is the strictest violation of military law. But they still shouldn't hunt or spy. Healers above the tribal boundaries, however, must still abide by them. Healers have the right to defend themselves, but not to attack during battle. Healers must fight for life to the end. Healers are forbidden to love and have children in order to give all their time and all their knowledge to their tribe. Healers are required to interpret and fulfill the signs of StarClan. Healers are not obliged to hunt, but they have the right to do so in their territory. A healer must put the good of the tribe above his own life. The healer has no right to leave the tribe. The healer must educate the student. The healer's apprentice is obliged to adopt all the knowledge of his mentor with dignity. The healer is obliged to provide assistance to all sick cats. And not only from his tribe. When the healer's apprentice has graduated, there are two healers in the tribe. Every half-moon night, healers go to Moon Lake or Moonstone to reveal their dreams to StarClan. Healers perform funeral ceremonies for fallen leaders and tribesmen. The herald or leader must listen to the healer at any time. The healer is the most important person in the tribe. Sometimes his words are more important than the words of the leader. Healers have a clear code of rules, they must vigilantly take care of the tribe and treat any cat. However, healers have a special relationship with StarClan, they are highly respected by all tribes and allowed into their territory.
Military law
A list of rules that every warrior must follow. Each new rule of the Warrior Law is discussed by all tribes in the Council and is adopted only after the approval of all tribes. Do not spare your life to protect your tribe. A cat of one tribe may be friends with cats of another, but he must remain loyal only to his tribe, always remembering that the day may come when he will have to face his friends in battle. You cannot cross the border of your neighbor and hunt on his territory. Elders and kittens must eat warriors and squires first. Squires should eat only after the elders have been fed. Game can only be killed for food, and be sure to thank StarClan for giving you your life. Only when the kitten turns six moons, he can become a squire. A cat initiated into the warriors is obliged to guard the camp in complete silence until morning. A cat that has not raised at least one squire cannot be a herald of the tribe. A herald becomes the leader of the tribe only after the death of the previous leader or in the event of his resignation. In the event of the death or resignation of the herald, a new assistant to the leader must be elected before the rising of the moon. The meeting of all tribes is called the Council and is held on the night of the full moon. For the duration of the Council, a Holy Truce is proclaimed. Each tribe should check and mark its boundaries daily. Strange cats must be expelled from the territory of the tribe. Kittens are protected by all tribes. A real warrior should not leave a kitten in trouble, no matter what tribe it belongs to. The word of the leader is the law for the whole tribe. A valiant warrior should not kill other cats just to defeat them. Murder is permissible only in self-defense or when the enemy has placed himself outside the Military Law. The warrior cat rejects the carefree life of a pet. Each tribe has the right to live its own life, preserving its dignity and independence, but in difficult times, borders must be forgotten and all cats must fight.
StarClan
the deceased ancestors of warriors, whose souls watch over their descendants from heaven after death. There are no leaders here, as all the cats in StarClan come from different tribes and decide everything together. They are responsible for all the predictions, prophecies and signs that they give to live cats. StarClan is the deceased ancestors and deceased friends of wildcats. Only those cats that have lived their lives with honor and observed the Warrior Law are included in it. If the cat has broken the Warrior Law, but for the good of the tribes (for example, Firestar) or atoned for it with good deeds (Blue Star), then he will still get into StarClan. Wildcats do not need to be in the Clan at the time of their death, as follows from the "Prophecy of Bluestar", when Sharpstar ended up in StarClan after his death, although he died as a pet. When a cat in the Clan dies, its guide to StarClan is someone who has played an important role in its life, such as a mentor or a close family member. To get into StarClan, the dying cat simply closes its eyes and opens them again. If a cat received wounds or injuries during death, then in StarClan, as a rule, they heal by themselves. When the leader loses a life, she appears among the Starcats as a faint figure, but he himself cannot say anything to his ancestors until he loses the last one.
Starcats leave trails of light, their eyes shine like stars, and their fur has an unusual shimmer that makes it seem like stars are entangled in their fur. Frost sparkles on their paws and shines in their eyes. Their skin shines like ice and smells of all seasons: the pungent smell of the time of the Bare Trees, the scent of all kinds of plants of the Green Leaf season, the musk of the Falling Leaves pore, and the sweetness of the long-awaited bloom of the Young Leaves season are intertwined with the smell of fire, ice, and the endless smell of the wild night.
tents
Tents are sheltered places (such as thickets or caves) used by a cat or group of cats for rest, sleep, and recuperation. The bedding for sleeping consists of moss, bracken fern, wool, and ordinary fern. The cleanliness of the bedding is usually monitored by squires. Most camps contain all (or some) of the following tents: Children's Tent - A tent for queens and kittens is usually the safest and most secure place in the tribe. The tent of the squires is the home of the apprentices. A military tent is a tent for warriors and heralds. The older warriors sleep closer to the center of the tent, where it is warmer, and the younger ones are located at the edge of the tent, where it is colder. The Healers' Tent is a tent that belongs to healers and their disciples, who store their herbs here. Cats with severe injuries and illnesses can live here until they recover, and then they return to their tents again. The tent of the elders is a tent that has been divided among the elders. Usually, this place is the second most protected. Chieftain's tent - A tent where a tribal leader lives, usually the best tent. The leader usually spends most of the day here, in solitude and tranquility; However, he may be visited by other cats (if they need to tell the leader, they need to warn him) or the leader may wish to spend the night with his mate. A tent for captives is a tent in which either vagrants or captives from other tribes are kept. This tent is heavily protected and it is quite difficult to escape from there.
Camp
This is the place where the cats of the tribe create a permanent home for themselves. Here they sleep, gather, just rest, bring fresh prey from the forest, treat injuries or diseases, receive tasks; Cats report to the leader or herald, and various ceremonies take place here. Some cats, such as queens, kittens, and elders, are camped, while warriors, squires, herald, and leader patrol the borders, hunt, etc. Each tribe has one camp that is closely guarded. Each camp is located in the tribe's own territory. Cats should choose a place for camping, following some criteria. It should be a place that:
Difficult to attack and easy to defend. Is kept at a safe distance from Twolegs, Twoleg devices, and other hazards. It is quite large enough to accommodate all the cats of the tribe. Has a water source in or near the camp. It has space for a military tent, a squire tent, a children's tent, a healer's tent, an elders' tent and a leader's tent. Most camps are surrounded by natural defenses (such as thickets, stone walls, or water) that protect the tribe from bad weather and enemy attacks. They usually have a single entrance through which only one cat can pass at a time, as the entrance must be narrow. There is also an exit where cats bury their dirt. In addition to their natural defenses, warriors guard and protect the camp both during the day and at night. Main clearing All camps have a large open clearing in the middle. Cats gather here to meet each other, bask in the sun, chat and participate in tribal gatherings. The main clearing usually also has:
A pile of fresh prey, a place where hunters put the prey they have caught. Sometimes, if it rains, cats bury their prey in the ground to keep it dry. An observation post from where the leader addresses the tribe during meetings. It can be a tree branch or a large stone.
Elder
A cat who faithfully served his tribe, but then went on a well-deserved rest. Elders are wise, other cats respect them, their advice and knowledge are appreciated even by leaders, although elders are often irritable Elders spend most of their time in their tent. However, they can leave the camp if they want to stretch their paws or hunt. Sometimes they go to the Soviets.
Elders are held in the highest esteem in all tribes. They have served their tribe well as squires and warriors. In their youth, they had cared for the elders themselves, and now it was their turn to rest and it was the turn of the younger generation to take care of them as a sign of gratitude for their faithful service to their tribe.
Elders are very vulnerable to a variety of illnesses and injuries, such as a green cough or aching joints. Therefore, healers and squires often have to treat them. They suffer from ticks and fleas more often than other cats, and one of the duties of squires is to treat parasitic insects that have eaten into the skin with mouse bile. What the elders do Rub certain herbs into the body of a dead cat to kill the smell of death; The body of the deceased is taken out of the camp and buried; They often tell stories from their past or fairy tales about ancient times, which squires and kittens love to listen to; They don't need to forage for food, go on hunting patrols, or fight unless absolutely necessary.
warrior
It is an adult breeding cat that feeds and protects its tribe. The survival of the entire tribe depends on the fulfillment of his duty. Warriors know how to hunt and fight, and in doing so they follow the Warrior Law. They have a duty to feed and protect those who are too old or otherwise unable to leave the camp.
Warriors make up the majority of the tribe. Every cat was, is, or will be one (except for healers), unless it died first. When a cat expects or nurses kittens (such a cat is called a queen), she leaves military duties for a while, but returns to them again when the kittens become squires. Although sometimes cats decide to stay in the nursery and help other queens Duties Ensuring protection and security: Patrolling borders: warriors mark borders and expel trespassers; Camp Guard: Warriors stand guard over the camp and defend it in case of an attack; Catching fresh game for the tribe; Participation in military campaigns: warriors fight with other tribes in order to eliminate any threat to their tribe, or for some other purpose pursued by the leader; Training of squires. The senior warrior is older and more experienced than the others, he does not want to go to the tent of the elders and intends to serve his tribe as much as he can. Senior warriors are respected in the tribe, and the leader often consults with them. In the warrior's tent, they sleep in the very center, where it is warmest, while the young warriors sleep on the side, in a colder place.
herald
the second most influential cat in the tribe and one of the four heralds on the Council. He organizes patrols and is the first assistant to the leader. The herald replaces the leader in his absence and becomes the leader after his death or resignation. A new herald must be appointed leader before the rising of the moon after the death or resignation of the previous one. In the event of the death of the previous herald, the name of the new one must be announced in front of the body of the deceased so that his spirit hears and approves this choice. When, for one reason or another, the leader leaves his post, the herald takes his place. To become a herald, a warrior must have trained at least one student. Heralds are usually experienced warriors who can not only help the leader in governing the tribe, but also replace him. A warrior cannot become a herald without raising at least one apprentice. But this is not always the case, StarClan can give a sign to the leader or healer that the herald should be a warrior who has not yet raised a squire. For example, Leafpool had a dream that Firestar was to choose Bramble as a herald, even though he had not been a mentor before. The rule that one must first be a mentor was added to the Warrior Law after Browntail of WindClan was appointed as the herald of the Feathered Star. However, he was not very good at performing his duties properly, and Featherstar suggested that a herald must have mentoring experience in order to give tasks and have authority. Later, she proposed adding this rule to the Warrior Law, and the other tribes agreed.
Leader
A cat that leads the tribe and is responsible for it. He has a connection to StarClan. The word of the leader is the law for the whole tribe. The leader always has a herald, who is his right paw. Each tribe has one leader. The leader's name has the suffix -star in the original (Firestar, Bluestar). In the Russian translation, it can be translated either with the suffixes -zvezd, -zvezdnaya (Ognezvezd, Temnozvezdnaya), or with a separate word "zvezda" (Sinyaya Zvezda, Night Star). Sometimes the name may simply have some "star" meaning (Meteor, Comet Patch). There are also names that begin with Zvezdo- (Zvezdolom, Zvezdotsap), and names with the word "Zvezdnyy" (Zvezdnyy Ray). When the former leader dies, is exiled, or retires, his herald goes to the Moonstone or Moon Lake, where he receives the gift of nine lives and the leader's name. This does not mean that the leader will live longer than others, but he will be able to survive accidents or fatal wounds that could have taken the life of any other cat. 9 star ancestors, who played the main roles in his fate, give the new leader 1 life each. With each life, a cat comes a gift, such as compassion or courage in battle. Giving lives can be painful, but it's important for the leader to fight it fiercely. At the end of the initiation, the cat receives a star name The leader has several rights and responsibilities:
Monitor the daily life of the tribe and give orders; To represent his tribe at the Council and monitor its behavior; Lead the tribe into battle and give combat commands; Appoint new squires and give them mentors; Assign new Champions after they have completed their training; Appoint a new herald; To resolve conflicts between fellow tribesmen and prevent their occurrence; Deal with conflicts and incidents outside the tribe if they threaten it; Consult with the herald and senior warriors and listen to their reports; Counseling with a healer
Mentor
The Mentor is a warrior of the tribe who teaches the squire the martial craft. Mentors teach squires how to hunt and fight for their tribe, teach the basics of Warrior Law, and ensure that their wards do not get into trouble. At the end of the training, the squires join the ranks of the tribe's warriors, and the mentor is ready to take on a new apprentice. The rudiments of mentoring appeared even before groups of united cats began to be called tribes. When the groups were in danger in the form of hobos, Lightningtail, the cat from Thunder's camp, proposed a system for training the kits. It consisted in the fact that one adult cat trains and educates one kitten, which allows you to take into account the individual qualities of the student. A champion can ask for a certain kitten as his squire in advance, although this does not guarantee that this will be the case. Even before the ceremony, a potential mentor may begin to look closely at the kitten that he hopes to get as an apprentice in order to get to know him better. Many warriors manage to raise more than one squire in their lifetime. To become a mentor, a warrior needs to have certain qualities. For example, Bluestar would not give Windborne an apprentice because she didn't think he was patient enough. However, as a rule, any cat that has become a warrior is a potential mentor. Leaders also train young cats, and they can choose a ward that they consider important. So, the Blue Star studied with the Light, because he was a participant in the prophecy.
Apprentice's Training
Usually, a kitten enters the training of its mentor at the age of six moons. The leader appoints a mentor, choosing the eldest cat at that time without his apprentice, and taking into account that the warrior and apprentice work well together and get along with each other. The mentor is responsible for training his squire. When the tribes lived in the old territory, the disciple had to travel to the Moonstone to receive the blessing of StarClan before being initiated into warriors. The squire trains with his mentor wherever he takes him. In the Old Forest, the Storm Squires trained in the sand ravine, and in the Lake Territory, in the clearing. During training, the cat learns to fight, hunt and comprehends the Warrior Law. When the mentor decides that a squire is ready to become a warrior (when he reaches 12 moons or a little older), he sends him to a special test, after which the squire is promoted to warrior in a special ceremony, and they spend their first night of war in silence, thinking about their new warrior name and guarding the camp. The first training session of a squire is always a tour of the territory. The mentor shows him the boundaries and significant places. The second and third training sessions are hunting. The mentor teaches to keep a hunting stance. to track game by smells. The next training hone the combat skills of the squire
Squire
A male cat of six moons or older, training to become a warrior under the guidance of a mentor. Apprentice names originally have the suffix -paw, symbolizing the path they embark on until they receive their warrior name. Most often, the first part of the apprentice's name remains the same as their kit's, but in special cases, it changes. An apprentice becomes a warrior when their mentor and leader decide they have learned enough to earn the new status. Squires have their own tent in the camp where they sleep. When a squire receives a warrior name, they become a full-fledged warrior and move into the warrior tent. Squires can change their status and become a healer's apprentice or vice versa if they are allowed, or in the event of a serious injury. Apprentices are expected to train with their mentors, hunt, patrol the border with the rest of the Clan, and care for the elders, primarily by removing ticks and fleas from their fur. They enjoy telling the kits that rabbit droppings are delicious berries. A squire may not leave camp without permission from his mentor or another warrior. He is not allowed to eat until the elders and nursing queens have eaten. Only then, if permitted, may he approach the spoils pile. If a squire breaks this rule, he is punished, usually by being forced to search the elders' tents for ticks and fleas and treating them with mouse bile if any are found. Another punishment is that the apprentice must remove the old bedding from the tent and replace it with new ones. Other punishments are also possible, and their choice often depends on the squire's offense. The leader may also refuse to allow the offending apprentice to attend the Gathering. Squires have been observed to work very hard and often long for sleep. When a kitten becomes an apprentice, it stops calling its parents mom and dad, and by their names
queen
This is a cat that waits or nurses kittens. Although queens are known for their ferocity towards protecting kittens, they are usually compassionate and kind, and will often convince others to give shelter to cats in distress. When a warrior is expecting kittens or nursing them, she becomes queen and moves into the nursery. Queens leave their rank and duties, but return to them when their kittens become squires. However, some cats prefer to stay in the nursery even after their offspring have matured. Queens move into the nursery about the moon before giving birth, leaving their military duties. As they become less mobile, other members of the tribe feed them. Pregnancy lasts about two moons, after which the cat gives birth to one to five kittens. Soon the newborns open their eyes: some almost immediately, others in a day or two. Queens who give birth for the first time do not yet carry a milky smell, while those who give birth again smell milk.
kitty
A cat under six moons living in a nursery with their mother and/or siblings. Kittens are usually naughty and often bother warriors and elders, but they love to listen to the latter's tales. Most kittens are eager to start training before they reach the age of six moons and are interested in everything that happens outside the walls of the camp. In the original, kittens' names end with the suffix "-kit" (kitten). In the Russian translation, the word bearing the main meaning is joined by a diminutive suffix (Titmouse, Zheludishka). However, the kitten's name and subsequent names may not have a common root (Pushinka - Swallow). When a kitten is born, its father or mother will name it after some event or object associated with its birth (Thunderstorm) or some cat (Fire), although sometimes the choice of name is independent of external causes. If the kitten dies before the parents have time to name it, the star ancestors (Snake) do it for them. The kittens stay in the nursery with their mother, who nurtures them and takes care of them until they are six moons. At first, they drink milk, but from about three moons they already begin to eat meat. All breeding cats, and especially queens, zealously protect kittens. Kids always eat first, they don't have to catch game or do some camp work. The Warrior Law says that "a true warrior should not leave a kitten in trouble, no matter what tribe it belongs to." However, half-blood kittens and those without warrior blood are usually frowned upon by pure-blooded warriors, as their loyalty to their new home is questioned. Half-breeds, as a rule, take the mother's tribe. This was the case with Silverkit and Graystripe's kits, who had defected to RiverClan even though their mother had died and their father had belonged to ThunderClan. Kittens should not leave the nursery until their mother allows them. When she decides that the time has come, they can go around the camp without leaving the mother. They are not allowed to leave the camp.
Healer
In the universe of warrior cats, healers play a significant role. In every tribe there is a healer and his disciple. Healers heal cats with healing herbs, interpret the signs of StarClan, and report to the leader about prophecies and give him advice.
Healers are highly respected not only in their own tribes, but also in other tribes.
Healers are above tribal boundaries, but must still abide by them. They can only cross them when necessary. For a long time, healers have been not only healers of the cats of their tribe, but also intermediaries between their tribe and star ancestors. Healers are very wise and have an excellent memory, as they must know a lot of properties of medicinal herbs and their names. Any cat can turn to a healer for help and advice, healers have their own separate tent in the tribe's camp, where they store their supplies of herbs and treat cats. A healer must not only serve his tribe during his life, but also have time to train an apprentice in order to prepare a replacement for himself. Healers are not only healers of tribes, but also cats who feel the thin line between the world of the living and StarClan. Healers are called the spiritual leaders of the tribes.
Healers are very wise. When a kitten is initiated as a Healer's apprentice at the moonstone/moon lake, the mentor asks StarClan to reveal their wisdom to the apprentice.
StarClan mentors even the most experienced Healers.
Not every cat can see and communicate with star cats. Healers have long been considered the chosen ones of the stars. Cats always listen to the advice and instructions of the Healers.
Moonstone
A kind of crystal (perhaps quartz or adular) that is illuminated by the light of the moon through a hole in the rock. It is located in the High Cliffs. If the cat becomes the leader, then he must go to the stone for the gift of nine lives from StarClan. Healers and their disciples also come there to tell their dreams to their ancestors and learn new prophecies. In the past, when the tribes lived in the old forest, every squire had to go to the Moonstone before his initiation into warriors. You need to go to the Moonstone on an empty stomach, eating the herbs of the travelers. When going to the High Cliffs, the healer (or leader) has every right to pass through other people's territories, while he is inviolable, no one should attack him. After passing through the tunnel to the cave with the stone, the leader or healer must lie down on it, bury his nose and fall asleep. After spending the night at the Moonstone, the cat that went to him must remain silent until he comes outside.
Forest area
the setting of the first cycle "Warriors (The Beginning of Prophecy)" and the first three books of the second cycle "The New Prophecy", as well as books whose narrative precedes or runs in parallel. It is a vast area inhabited by five warrior tribes (later there are four). Contrary to its name, the area is not covered by a continuous forest, which occupies only a small part of it in the east, where ThunderClan lives and hunts. Otherwise, these are hills, meadows and swamps. The Chell River runs through the area, which separates the lands of RiverClan from those of WindClan and those of ThunderClan on the other. The Thundering Trail, which the Twolegs call Windover Road, serves as the border between ThunderClan and ShadowClan. A smaller Thundering Trail called North Allerton Road is laid out from the north. In the beginning, it was a wild area, uninhabited by predators or humans. After some time, small groups of cats came to this territory and began to populate the land. These cats did not set boundaries, and the lands of some groups entered the lands of others, which led to bloody battles and numerous deaths. After one particularly brutal battle, the spirits of deceased comrades came to the survivors and bequeathed them to unite and live in peace. However, the cats could not decide who would become the leader. At that time, five leaders stood out from everyone: Thunder, Shifting River, Long Shadow, Wind Outrunner, and Clear Sky. Each of them wanted to lead the others. In the end, the cats decided to split into five groups, each of which was headed by one of the named leaders. Each cat joined a particular group based on their own preferences and abilities. Thus, five tribes were created: Thunder, River, Heaven, Wind and Shadow. They divided the lands among themselves, and the spirits of the dead founded StarClan, a tribe of starry ancestors who protect and guide the living.
Thundering Trail
It is a place of pain and fear. Many have suffered because of it. Twoleg Monsters ride on it, make a lot of noise and leave a big stench behind them. Since they rattle, they usually ride along the path laid by them, and the name Thundering Path comes from these words. The cats pass it, making sure that there are no monsters nearby. The trail itself is hard and hard. In the old forest, the Thundering Path marked the border between ThunderClan and ShadowClan, which prevented them from trespassing boundaries. In the second forest, there was only the abandoned Rattling Path in the RiverClan territory. There are also many Rattling Trails in the Lake District. One of them led to the lake, the other, abandoned, was in the territory of the Thundercats. Many cats died and suffered on the Thundering Paths. For example, Ashen badly injured her paw, and some died - the sister of the Blue Star - Whitemane, White-breasted and Red. Also, in the Tribes Beginnings cycle, Soaring Eagle, Shadowmoss, and Turtletail die on the Thunder Path.
In the book Midnight, when the six Chosen Cats set out in search of the Place-Where-the Sun-Sinks, they crossed many Thundering Paths.
monsters
Behemoth is the term used by Clan Cats to refer to cars and motorboats driven by Twolegs. Their usual habitat is the Thundering Path. Behemoths are huge, angular creatures with hard, shiny hides and yellow rays shooting from their eyes. Their round, black paws stink of burnt stone, and when they run, the very air shudders with fear. Inside their "belly" sit the Twolegs and control them[2]. When the monster is parked, it sleeps[4]. However, monsters, despite their formidable appearance, are very stupid - a smart cat can easily outwit them. Monsters prefer to rush along smooth roads, they almost never turn into the forest and do not like to run on the grass. Therefore, if a cat has a head on its shoulders and courage in its heart, it will always be able to run away from the enemy to a safe place[3]. Monsters occasionally leave the Thunder Trail for a specific reason, such as the destruction of the forest that caused the Great Journey. Monsters rush at such a speed that even the fastest warrior cannot run away from them; They can easily injure or even kill a cat.[6] Waves of hot, stinking air rise from them, which ruffles the fur and mustache[7]. When a monster sees a cat on the Thundering Trail, it does not even slow down, but continues to run no matter what may happen to the cat[ Tribes distinguish between species of monsters and give them their own names: bulldozers that cut down forests are called wood-gnawing dogs.[9] These monsters uproot trees and dig the ground, turning it into holes; they kill or scare away all the game, thereby depriving the cats of their place of residence[10]. Motor boats are called water monsters[11], and agricultural machines are called harvesters
Bipeds
A term that forest cats use to call people. Bipeds are tall creatures with no hair almost everywhere except for the head and sometimes on the face, walking in multi-colored skins. They move exclusively on their hind legs. Warrior cats tend to avoid them. Domestic call Twolegs their pets. Bipeds live in stone nests in the village or city. Twolegs also live on farms, quite close to the territories of the forest tribes. During the Green Leaves season, they are often in the forest, near the river and lake. Sometimes they live in their tents for a long time and burn fires. As a rule, they make a lot of noise. At the lake, the Twolegs launch boats and ride in them, as well as swim. Twolegs love to build Rattling Paths and their stone nests everywhere, and they move in the belly of monsters, of which they have a variety of numbers. Many Twolegs have dogs, pet, or other animals like rabbits. Twolegs take care of their pets and protect them. Two-legged cats put on colored ribbons called a collar, and they like to walk dogs in the forest. Despite the wary attitude of warriors towards Twolegs, dog owners often save warriors from an aggressive pet, calling it to them at the right time. The Forest Cats consider Twolegs to be extremely strange creatures whose actions are inexplicable and inadequate. They have a rough incomprehensible language, although house can understand individual words from it. Bipeds scream a lot, scare away game, can swing their huge front paws, grab cats and do whatever they want with them. Some intentionally harm cats, either just to do or to protect their pets. Good Twolegs sometimes feed wild cats, but this can turn into an attempt to take a wild cat home. Most of the cats from RiverClan suffer from the encroachments of the Twolegs. This is because RiverClan's territory is the closest to places where Twolegs often spawn, and when they encounter RiverClans, they mistake them for pets
Domestic
A term used by breeding cats to identify domestic cats that are cared for by Twolegs. Domestic are cats that are taken care of by Twolegs. They are clumsy, almost always well-fed, well-fed cats because Twolegs feed them several times a day dry, tasteless bunny droppings, or soft slurry from them. At least, that's how they look in the eyes of breeding cats. They have poorly developed muscles, they know almost nothing of combat and hunting skills. At a certain age, they are taken to a veterinarian, more commonly known to breeding cats as the Carver. After visiting the Carver (veterinarian), they become lazy and even fatter, they lose the desire to do anything. The life of domestic is despised by pedigree cats. A warrior who has become a pet puts himself outside the Warrior Law. The Tribal Cats reproach the Pet for living too frivolously, feeding off Twolegs and living in a deceitful comfort that blocks their way to StarClan. More often than not, pet are too soft, so the term "" is often used as a teaser, for example, "You hunt like a pet" or "You fight like a pet" means that you are bad at hunting or fighting. Some forest cats believe that domestic are not just too soft-hearted, but therefore safe, they believe that are prone to infidelity and cannot be trusted. An example is Longtail, who often reproached Firestar for his origins. Thus, many purebred breeding cats often do not trust warriors, in whose veins the blood of domestic flow, and also mock their origin in every possible way.
Tramps
A term used to describe a stray cat, most often aggressive, that does not belong to any tribe and does not depend on Twolegs. From the tribes' point of view, all rogues are aggressive and selfish. Unlike loners, they do not respect the Warrior Law and the cats that follow it. Cats expelled from the tribe usually live like vagrants. They deliberately violate the territories of the tribes and steal loot, but if they are found by a patrol, they will escort the intruder abroad. Even if rogues huddle in groups, they are not afraid to attack each other within the group. They are very cruel and are known for being ruthless towards cats that are too old or too young. Sometimes they are capable of killing others for no reason. Sometimes groups of rogues turned against the Clans, such as when Talon led a group of exiled cats and attacked the ThunderClan camp, or when a band of rogues attacked the Clan of Falling Water.
WindClan
Loyal to the tribe to the last drop of blood, stubborn, impetuous and touchy. Thanks to life in the open spaces, they are very sensitive, at any moment they can take off. They were proud that their territory was closer to the Moon Stone. They know the habits of Twolegs better than others, they watch the work on the farm every day. The Wind Tribe is a feline tribe that lives mostly on moorland. The founder of the Wind Runner tribe got her name from her ability to run very fast. Her name was given to the tribe. The cats of the Wind Tribe are famous for their love of open spaces. They live in vast fields and moorlands, where they get their food, mainly rabbits. Of all the four tribes, they are the least fond of bare, damp earth, and prefer the soft grass of the wasteland, which they use for sleeping. Cats of this tribe do not like tents and sleep in the fresh air. They are loyal and unbending. Because of life in wide open spaces, they are irritable and always ready to take off. In the old territory, they prided themselves on their proximity to the Moonstone, where leaders and healers went to converse with StarClan; Wind cats consider themselves gifted ancestors both physically and spiritually, since they do not live among trees or bushes that can interfere with the contemplation of the Silver Belt. Wind Cats are considered the fastest and smartest among other tribes. They are easily offended, but they are the least eager to participate in battles between tribes. Thanks to their gray or brown skin, they can easily blend into the ground; This is probably a natural result of living in the wasteland, where these colors help hide. Of all the tribes, they know the habits of the Twolegs best, as they have the opportunity to often observe them on their farms that surround the territory of WindClan.
ShadowClan
hunt and fight in the dark ShadowClan, or ShadowClan, is a feline tribe that lives in a swampy part of a pine forest. Its founder, Shadowstar, was the first leader of the tribe before it was named. Subsequently, the tribe was named after her. ShadowClan used to be considered a "gloomy" tribe, full of ferocious, unfriendly cats. Such an opinion was formed many, many years ago under the control of a vicious leader, a perverted mind, as a result of cruel intrigues. They are proud, loyal to the tribe, always ready to defend their lands and their tribe, and somewhat arrogant; often other tribes do not understand them and consider them pugnacious, spiteful, ambitious and greedy for foreign territories. It was said that when the tribes came to these lands, ShadowClan was given the part of the forest where the cold north wind blew from the mountains, which chilled the hearts of the Shadow Cats. However, according to Cliff, this tribe has less land and game than other tribes, so it is not surprising that they seek to increase their pile of fresh game by any means necessary. Though the arrogance of their warriors and the hostility of their leaders brought them such bitter fame, the leader of Dawnstar led Firestar to believe that ShadowClan was not always as dishonest and cruel as it now seems. The main prey is reptiles and amphibians, such as lizards and frogs. There is also a secret food source, the Twoleg Junkyard, but the Shadow Cats are cautious and do not eat crow food. They are the best nocturnal hunters and masters of silent movement in the undergrowth. Camp: a hollow deep in the darkness, well hidden from prying eyes. Blackberry bushes protect the camp, and you can only enter it along a narrow path.
River tribe
They are domineering and strong, with long, thick and shiny hair. They love everything beautiful and often decorate their tents with colorful shells and bird feathers. They are not afraid of water and are excellent swimmers. A river tribe is a group of cats living in a swampy part of the forest or on the shores of lakes and rivers. Its founder, the River, got its name because it moved through the forest as gracefully as if river water flowing between trees. According to another version, he took this name in honor of the river that saved his life. From his name came the name of the tribe. They live on the ground overgrown with reeds and reeds, covered with pebbles, near the river, where there are almost no trees. River cats are famous for their fishing skills and extraordinary love of water. In addition, they love everything beautiful and often decorate their tents with pebbles, shells and feathers. They feed mainly on fish, but do not disdain water rats, shrews or mice. These are happy, well-fed cats with shiny, well-groomed hair. They are smart and elegant, but others often look at them as lazy, stubborn cats, adamant in their opinion. Their shiny coat with long hair is great for swimming. The River Tribe have to survive during the Bare Tree season when the river freezes, so they gorge themselves on fish during the Green Leaves season in preparation for the cold. RiverClan cats frown upon the birds in their pile of game. Excellent swimmers, they move in the water as if they were part of it. With incredible speed, they stretch their paw into the water and pick up the fish right from the shore. It turns out that the River Cats are so well-groomed and well-fed that when they bask in the sun on the rocks, the Twolegs take them for domestic cats and take them home. However, such cases are carefully hidden from other tribes. The forest lands of RiverClan are located in an area that the Twolegs call Morgan's Farm Camp and the River Chell. The whole camp is surrounded by reeds. In the center, cats lie and purr in the sun.
ThunderClan
In peacetime, other tribes are treated with respect. In battle, they are brave, indomitable and loyal. Always stand for the truth and, if justice demands it, are not afraid to go against the Warrior Law ThunderClan is mostly peaceful and respectful of other tribes. In battle, they are fierce, brave, and loyal. They calmly accept loners and pet, either to recruit additional warriors, or if the cat needs help or protection. This sometimes drops them in the eyes of other tribes, who see this behavior as a sign of weakness. Thundercats hunt forest game, being excellent at tracking it, crawling through the forest and keeping against the wind so that the game does not notice them in the dense bushes. Before jumping on the prey, they pick up with their whole body. ThunderClan is a part of the forest, one of the 4 tribes (ThunderClan, RiverClan, Wind, Shadowclan). The lands of ThunderClan lie in what the Twolegs call White Hart Woods. There are also Two-legged sites such as Windover Road and Chelford Forest. The main tribe in the main series. The protagonist of the first cycle, Firestar, ruled this tribe. He was first mentioned in the prologue "Become Wild!". The name of the tribe comes from the name of the mother of the first leader, Thunderstar.
