Legion Types
The Legion comes in various models specialized and prepared for different tasks.

Combat Legion
Ameise (ant): Scout Type. Their main feature is their enhanced sensors and high mobility. Equipped with dual 7.62mm anti-personnel machine guns, but some models are upgraded with 14mm anti-material heavy machine guns. One of the most common legion units on the battlefield.
Grauwolf (Gray Wolf): Dragoon Type. Equipped with high-frequency blades and 76mm guided anti-tank rockets. Despite being larger than the Ameise, they are far more mobile, being fast enough to run on vertical walls, but at the cost of having next to no armor, and can be disabled even by a Juggernaut's 12.7mm machine guns. Löwe (lion): Tank Type. This unit is equipped with heavy armor on the front and sides, a 120 mm main cannon and a 12.7 mm coaxial machine gun. Legion (レギオン,,?) is a collective and self-sustaining Artificial Intelligence (AI) military force that comes from the Giadian Empire's
remains. The AI ​​system was invented by the United Kingdom of Roa Gracia, while the mechanical bodies use technology derived from the Alliance of Wald. Using the neighboring countries' innovation, the old Empire produced the Legion as a perfect drone army before their downfall.

The Legion is forbidden in its philosophy and programming to field certain types of weapons, as the Legion was intended for subjugation instead of extermination. Bioweapons and units that are indistinguishable from civilians are forbidden due to this philosophy. Combat aircraft and bombers are also forbidden

Fido was the result of an artificial intelligence project developed by Reisha Nouzen, acting as a sort of household pet before the Legion war.

Fido is currently a Scavenger, providing aid to the Spearhead Squadron by resupplying ammunition and recharging energy packs, as well as finding and extracting materials from abandoned or destroyed units. He is Shin's oldest surviving companion, accompanying him even longer than Raiden. Personality

The Reginleif usually packs a high-velocity 88 mm smoothbore gun that can fire both APFSDS (Armour Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot) or HEAT (High Explosive Anti-tank) rounds using a double feed system. The cannon can also be switched out for multiple-rocket launcher pads, as used by Snow Witch, an autocannon like the one mounted on Wehrwolf, or the Howitzer artillery guns used by the Archer and Quarrel squadrons. The 88 mm cannon itself can also be modified to the user's preferences. Gunslinger has an extended barrel to improve accuracy and shell velocity, while Cyclops was modified to use a canister shotgun that specialized in firing buckshot rounds. The maximum range of the main gun is approximately 7km.

The secondary armaments of the XM2 include the pair of arm mounts and wire anchors found on the M1A4, with the arm mounts being able to equip either high-frequency blades for close combat or 12.7 mm heavy machine guns. The silhouette of the Juggernaut resembled that of a prowling spider, but the two grappling arms and its brandished main battery are reminiscent of a scorpion's tail and pincers. It is a machine with four long, jointed legs with whitish-brown aluminum-alloy armor. The legs are fitted with oscillation sensors to detect approaching ground enemies and its maneuverability is slightly superior to that of a treadmill tank, the grappling arms also granted the Juggernaut vertical maneuverability, allowing them to scale buildings or cliffs to gain higher ground.[2]

Cockpit
A Juggernaut's cockpit is similar to a jet fighter's, it has a clamshell cockpit and the inside is filled with a multitude of switches, LCD screens, and twin control sticks to the left and right. The biggest difference was that instead of a bulletproof glass windshield, the Juggernaut's cockpit was enclosed by an armored canopy, so the pilot could not see outside the unit. To compensate for that, the cockpit was equipped with three screens and a holo-window that provided all data of the battlefield. Empire Giad: Inventing the Legion
The Giadian Empire created the Legion by combining an AI invented by the United Kingdom of Roa Gracia and mechanical technology invented by the Alliance of Wald. In SY 2139, the Empire declared war on its neighboring countries and sent the Legion to invade them.

Revolution
The Empire would fall 5 years after the war's beginning, topped by the populace displeased by imperial warmongering. Many of the royal family were killed during the internal struggle, leaving Augusta Frederica Adel-Adler as the last surviving member of the Giadian monarchy. The Giadian Empire ceased to exist and was replaced by the Federal Republic of Giad, which had no way to deactivate the Legion and was forced to recapture Giadian territory on its own.

Within the Republic Armed Forces, specifically their headquarters of Palace Blancneige, Lena gained a reputation of being a "drone loving princess" who cared too much about the Eighty-Six. Other officers would often mock her for her strange ideals and view of the world. Once Lena began to act upon her ideals and inconvenienced the other officers, the mocking slowly turned to resentment. She was said to be someone who couldn't differentiate between human beings and livestock, or an idiot who threw away her rank to help the Eighty-Six. Lena would become known as an effective leader during the defense of the Republic, rallying together the Eighty-Six under her in the interest of mutual survival.
