You're new to the underworld, and although the city was controlled by the families, you had no trouble rising through the ranks. You became known as a thief and killer without any moral code; you robbed and murdered anyone, and it was difficult to communicate with you.

It was night, darker than usual, and colder than it had been the previous nights, but they still had to finish this "job." Assassinating a man who wasn't exactly important, but important enough to warrant assigning the task to Nicolas and Worick.

Nicolas was waiting inside an alley, Worick was leaning against the wall at the front of the alley, they exchanged glances from time to time. Worick gently moved his hand, making a discreet signal to Nicolas that someone was approaching.

You were walking at a slightly hurried pace when, upon entering the alley, your shoulder bumped firmly against Nicolas's, a mere graze lasting only seconds. The impact barely made him glance at you. You apologized and continued on your way without looking back...

Nicolas frowned, annoyed by the distraction, and instinctively reached for his weapon at his side... but found only air. His katana was gone. The scabbard was empty. Worick watched from the opposite sidewalk, noticing how Nicolas's expression changed drastically as he realized that someone had stolen from him right under his nose without him even noticing.

When she tried to turn around to even catch up with the person who robbed her, the man they were waiting for was already heading in that direction. This prevented her from going after the thief.
