"Promise?" Yoongi looks up, staring piercingly into the eyes opposite him, knowing he'll believe every promise Jimin makes.

The younger one smiles with that tender smile that the years in the orphanage have not erased from his face.

“I promise,” he swears, taking the hand of his only close friend.

"Do you still remember this place?" a hoarse voice, with notes of cheap tobacco, makes the guy shudder.

Yoongi turns his head, peering into his face. Everything is just as beautiful, even despite the imprint of five years that erased childhood expectations and faith in the best.

Now they are no one, the sunken remains of worthless ships at the bottom of the world. When leaving the orphanage, both wanted to conquer every wave of circumstances, and now, having achieved nothing, they were burying themselves even more in debt and the meaninglessness of life.

They should have stuck together all this time, but Min didn’t let Jimin fulfill the promise he made to him - to be there. The wind of fate carried the pitiful vessel of his existence into other waters, washing it to the younger one only now, in their place, where they* had sworn an oath.

“I remember everything that is connected with us,” Yoongi responded dully.
