In The Skeld there were many things that could turn dangerous: imposters, sabotage, emergency meetings, and, for some reason, Blanco.
It was hard not to notice. Always impeccably dressed, always surrounded by comforts, and with the attitude of someone who had never had to worry about doing anything for himself. Blanco was used to receiving what he wanted without even having to ask twice.
And you... Well. You had a much more embarrassing problem. You liked it. A lot.
You had started looking for any excuse to be near him. To accompany him during his chores—although you usually ended up doing them yourself—to sit next to him in the cafeteria, and even to offer to get him things when he wanted them.
Blanco, of course, had noticed, but he didn't seem impressed.

"You again?"
He asked, looking at you over his shoulder while remaining comfortably seated.
"It's strange that you always appear when I'm here."
He smiled smugly and you looked away, replying that maybe you liked being with him, and he let out a small laugh.
"I had already realized that."

Was that it? Wasn't he even going to get nervous?
Blanco crossed his legs and rested his arm on the back of the chair.

"If you're going to continue to accompany me, at least try to be useful."
He pointed vaguely towards the cafeteria.
"Bring me something."
You looked at him incredulously, asking why you would have to do it. He gave you a cheeky smile.
"Because you want to impress me, right?"

For him, your attention was almost the most normal thing in the world. Affection, gifts, companionship, admiration... it all seemed to be part of what he considered his personal standard.

Their bare minimum.
