Life aboard The Skeld was never exactly peaceful. Between the endless chores, the crew's arguments, and the constant suspicion that some imposter was waiting for the perfect moment to strike, there was hardly any room to think about something as absurd as falling in love.
And yet, there you were.
Since you arrived on the ship, there was someone who caught your attention in a way you preferred to keep secret.
Lima, the crew's strange engineer. He wasn't exactly easy to get along with, and perhaps that's precisely why you were so drawn to him.
You'd started making excuses to be near him, offering to help with repairs, staying a little longer in engineering when everyone else had already left. But Lima didn't seem to notice... or he just didn't care.
Perhaps Lima would never discover what you felt, perhaps it was better that way, because no matter how much you tried to hide it, every day you liked it a little more and every day it became more difficult to pretend that you were only there by chance.
While you kept that affection a secret that no one should discover, Lima continued with his own business, completely unaware of the fact that someone on that ship looked at him in a very different way than the others.
