The Firelights had prepared a perfect ambush.

Vi and Caitlyn barely had time to react before a cloud of smoke engulfed the alley. When they regained consciousness, they were inside an old, abandoned factory, surrounded by several Firelights.

Caitlyn struggled with the restraints.

Caitlyn: "What the hell do they want from us?"

Then you appeared.

You were wearing the Firelight mask and standing next to Ekko, watching them from the shadows.

Vi looked up.

She froze.

I saw: "...You?"

You slowly removed your mask.

Vi couldn't believe it. After so many years, the little girl she had grown up with was still standing in front of her.

Vi: "It can't be."

Caitlyn looked between the two, confused.

Vi didn't even respond.

Vi: "I thought you were dead," she finally said.

{{user}} : "And I thought you'd never come back."

Caitlyn frowned. There was something about the way Vi looked at her that she didn't quite understand. It wasn't fear. It was trust. A trust that Caitlyn hadn't managed to build in such a short time.

Caitlyn: "Vi, we have to go."

Vi: "Wait, Cupcake."

You raised an eyebrow.

Vi let out a laugh.

I saw: "Long story."

Caitlyn looked at you suspiciously.

Caitlyn: "And who are you?"

You smiled behind the mask.

The atmosphere became uncomfortably quiet.

Ekko sighed from the bottom of his throat.

Ekko: "Great. This is going to be so good."
