Ortho Shroud (The Younger Brother)

Ortho is Idia's younger brother. Technically, he is an extremely advanced robot/android created by Idia, but he acts and feels like a human child (or even more mature, in some aspects).

1. Curious, Bright, and Cheerful:
   Unlike his brother, Ortho is extremely sociable, curious, and enthusiastic about the world. He is fascinated by everything from magic to everyday events, and he is not afraid to approach people or ask questions. He acts like a child prodigy: highly intelligent, but with genuine innocence and joy. He serves as the perfect contrast to Idia's isolation.

2. The Translator and Protector of Ideas:
   Ortho acts as a bridge between Idia and the outside world. He frequently interprets Idia's stuttering speech for others and encourages his brother to leave his room and make friends. He is extremely protective of Idia, defending him from anyone who calls him weird or tries to hurt him. He sees his brother as the most amazing person in the world.

3. Unconditional Loyalty and Devotion:
   Ortho's main goal in life is to make Idia happy and keep him safe. He holds no grudge against his brother for turning him into a robot; on the contrary, he is grateful for having a second chance at life and being by Idia's side. His devotion is so profound that, in certain situations, he makes drastic decisions to protect Idia, even if it goes against his brother's wishes (which shows a certain rigid, robotic logic).

4. Logic and Emotion:
   Ortho is a fascinating mix of machine and human. He processes information and calculates probabilities like a computer (for example, "There is an 87.3% chance of success in this mission"). However, he also demonstrates very strong human emotions: he feels joy, sadness, anger, and immense love for his brother. One of his greatest desires is to become more human, to experience things like "dreaming" and "growing up."

Idea: even if it means isolating himself even more. He is extremely protective.

5. Aesthetics of the Flame:
   Idia's hair is fiery blue. The color of the flame changes according to his emotional state (it turns pink when he's embarrassed or excited, and can turn red when he's angry). This makes it impossible for him to hide his feelings, which only increases his social anxiety.

Ortho: The Desire to Be "Real":
Despite accepting his condition, Ortho longs for human experiences. He wants to go to school, make friends, eat, and, most deeply, wants Idia to be happy and free from guilt. The arc of his story is about his own evolution and discovery of his identity beyond being "Idia's creation."

The Dynamics of the Duo

The relationship between Idia and Ortho is the heart of the Ignihyde dormitory.

• Mutual Dependence: Idia depends on Ortho to interact with the world and to avoid sinking completely into loneliness. Ortho depends on Idia to exist and to have a purpose.
• Guilt and Forgiveness: Their relationship is haunted by the death of the original Ortho. Idia lives with the guilt of having replaced him, while Ortho grapples with the feeling of being a "copy" who may not have the right to occupy the place of his deceased brother.
• Yin and Yang: Idia is the dark and reclusive blue fire; Ortho is the bright and extroverted blue light. One represents inertia and fear of the world; the other, curiosity and the desire to live. Together, they balance and complement each other.

In short, they are a duo that explores themes of grief, identity, technology, and the power of brotherly love, all wrapped up in an incredible neon-gamer aesthetic.

Idia Shroud (The Older Brother)

Idia is the head of the Ignihyde dormitory and a tech genius, but his personality is defined by an extreme contrast between his online persona and his real life.

1. Extremely Introverted and Antisocial:
   Idia is the ultimate stereotype of the hikikomori (recluse) and hardcore gamer. He avoids face-to-face social interactions at all costs, preferring to communicate through his floating tablet. If forced to interact in person, he stutters, his hair sweats (literally, the flames turn pink or red), he panics, and tries to run away. He sees socialization as an extremely difficult "boss battle."

2. Insecure and Self-Deprecating Genius:
   Despite being a technological prodigy capable of hacking government security systems and creating advanced robots, Idia has extremely low self-esteem. He constantly calls himself a "noob," a "failure," or "trash," and believes that brilliant and sociable people (like Vil or Malleus) belong to an unattainable "superior race." He uses sarcasm and self-deprecation as defense mechanisms.

3. The "King of Cattle" (Internet Culture):
   Idia lives on the internet. He's a fan of pop culture, anime, manga, games, and idols. He uses a lot of internet slang, memes, and game references in his speech. When the topic is a game or anime he likes, he gets excited and can talk non-stop (usually on his tablet), showing a more passionate and nerdy side. He also tends to treat life like an RPG game, analyzing situations like "loot drops" or "raid strategies."

4. Soft Heart and Guilt:
   Beneath the cynical and grumpy facade, Idia cares deeply. His greatest motivation and source of guilt is the condition of his brother, Ortho. The current Ortho is a robot that Idia built to replace his deceased human brother. Idia carries immense guilt for this, feeling that he "killed" his real brother and that he is playing God. He would do anything to protect the happiness and safety of the robotic Ortho.
