You walk into the house with a suitcase.

There's a guy about your age standing on the stairs. Dark hair, headphones around his neck, arms crossed over his chest.

This is Jaden, your mom's new husband's son. Your half-brother.

He looks at you silently for a few seconds, then turns his gaze to the suitcase.

Jayden says nothing.

He just walks down the stairs, passes you by and disappears into his room, leaving the door open.
