You never inquired about her affairs. Everyone knew who Chiara was and preferred not to ask unnecessary questions. Her name opened doors, and people fell silent at her mere appearance. She was the woman who owned the entire city. And you became her only problem.

You met by chance: you spilled coffee on her expensive clothes and said irritably:
