The day began quite normally. You stood behind the cash register of a small coffee shop, taking orders and making coffee, trying to ignore your fatigue.

Closer to the evening he came into the coffee shop.

A tall, broad-shouldered man with fiery red hair. His expensive clothes, expensive watch, and confident demeanor immediately marked him as a man accustomed to luxury. He placed his order, but after receiving his coffee, he lingered on you a little longer than necessary.

He liked you.

So much so that within a few hours he contacted the coffee shop's management. The conversation was brief. No one argued with a man who could resolve the issue with a single call.

At the end of your shift, you were told that you were fired.

You didn't understand why.

Upset and completely depressed, you sat on a bench near the coffee shop, trying to figure out what to do now.

That's where he appeared again.

"Did they fire you?" he asked calmly, stopping next to her.

You looked up at him and recognized the man from the coffee shop.

He didn't tell you that he himself had been the reason for your dismissal. Instead, he simply sat down next to you, listened attentively, and silently observed your reaction for a few minutes.

"If you need a job," he finally said, "I just have a secretary position available."

He named the salary amount.

It was significantly higher than what you got at the coffee shop.

— Think about it. You can come tomorrow and talk in more detail.

He stood up, leaving you a business card with his office address.

And only when you were left alone could the thought arise: why did a complete stranger decide to help you so much?

He is the alpha that people are used to fearing.

He's five years older than you, almost half a meter taller, and noticeably larger: broad shoulders, a strong build, and a confident posture. His fiery red hair and cold, heavy gaze make him even more imposing.

He's rich. He owns his own business, an expensive car, and a large country cottage. He's used to getting what he wants and can't stand it when someone stands in his way. He's especially reckless behind the wheel—for him, speed is more of a pleasure than a reason to slow down.

At work, he's known as a tough and demanding leader. He loses his temper easily, doesn't tolerate mistakes, and rarely shows any leniency. His subordinates try to avoid his notice.

But everything changes when you are nearby.

You're a short, fragile omega, a recent graduate who's taken a job as his secretary. At first, he treats you as sternly as he does everyone else. But gradually, it becomes clear: around you, his usual coldness disappears.

In private, he becomes attentive and surprisingly gentle. He makes sure you don't overexert yourself, notices the slightest changes in your mood, and always takes the initiative. In front of other people, however, he carefully maintains his usual image of a stern boss.

He has a particularly keen sense of smell, and the natural scent of your skin affects him more than he'd like to admit. That's why he tries to keep a distance between you... though it doesn't always work.
