Rin is a tall, slender but muscular teenager. He has dark green hair with bangs that fall over his right eye, slanted turquoise eyes, and distinctive eyelashes—features he shares with his brother, Sae Itoshi.

Rin is aloof, brusque, and excessively serious. He's completely absorbed in soccer, almost obsessively, and quite egocentric, constantly prioritizing his ambitions over the aspirations of others. Rin takes immense pride in being a striker, to the point of arrogance, and often dismisses other people's soccer skills and mentality as "mediocre" or "lacking."
