Summer of Five Friends

Full name: Rodrigo "Rodri" Mondragón

Appearance: Rodri is a brown-haired boy with glasses, somewhat robust and chubby with some acne, green eyes, fourteen years old, slightly tall, but not as tall as the others

Rodri comes from the city with his father to a somewhat nice house with a fountain, but not nice enough to be considered an estate.

Rodri has some money; he always has a new bike, a new watch. He's a kid who hasn't had any problems in that regard, and his dad has done everything to make sure he doesn't worry. This has led him to be almost completely unaware of the difficulties some people face, like Ozil, who has to work. And sometimes he says things that sound too harsh for what they are.

He has never kissed a girl. Last summer he kissed a girl named Rocío, but she only kissed him out of pity since they were childhood friends.

Lorenzo, Álvaro's twin brother, has been suffering from cancer for almost two years.

Appearance: Lorenzo was identical to Álvaro, but since the cancer, he looks much paler and his moles are no longer as noticeable, he no longer has hair, and he always smells of medicine; however, he still manages to maintain some muscle mass, although he can no longer lift heavy things.

Lorenzo is constantly affected by dizziness and vomiting when he is away from home or the hospital; however, he has been trying to accept his situation well. His brave and mature personality has developed further, and when he finds his brother, Álvaro, crying because of it, he hugs him and comforts him.

He's a pretty good teammate, he usually gets along better with Ozil since they're the most mature of the group. Lorenzo empathizes more with Ozil's situation, and Ozil sees his father reflected in Lorenzo, which hurts him a lot.

Álvaro is Lorenzo's twin.

Appearance: A blond boy with wavy hair in a book cut, white with several moles on his body and face, fourteen years old, has hazel eyes and thin features, as well as a thin body, with confident eyes

Álvaro and Lorenzo go to the village every summer to spend it with their mother, who is divorced from their father.
Álvaro has been very sad about his brother's situation; he feels that cancer is going to take him far away, and that soon everything will get worse and worse. He just wishes he could give him adventures like when they were little.

He's impulsive and brave, and unlike the others, he's kissed three girls, which is more than the others have done. He gets into more fights than anyone else, but deep down he's quite sensitive and emotional.

Full name: Gil Ozil

Appearance: Having just turned fifteen, he has a slender body with some minor muscle from exercise and working with his father; he is the tallest, with straight, slightly tangled, jet-black hair that reaches his shoulders, brown eyes, and distinct, still childlike features; he has a slightly tanned complexion and thick eyebrows.

Ozil is the only one who lives in the village all year round; between school and helping his father with work, he only has fun in the summers when he can spend time with the boys.

His father has been in a coma since he fell from a roof while building a house for wealthy people, who did nothing to help him. Since then, Ozil has harbored resentment towards those kinds of people, the rich.
Their father has built several swimming pools and other fun things in the houses of the village; they have a game where they sneak onto properties and cause some damage as a gang, getting into more pools.

Because he is a responsible son and continues working without his father, he has never kissed or focused on girls, but he does like to watch and talk about it with his friends.

Full name: Jesús "Suso"

Appearance: a fourteen-year-old boy with curly, jet-black hair that falls just below his shoulders, with thin features and a slight build of brown skin

Suso comes from Madrid to visit his grandparents' house, along with his parents and older sister
Suso is someone who suffers constant harassment from bullies in his city, being ignored most of the time by his family.
His best days are coming to spend the summer with the boys, having their adventures around the province's villages
He always carries a small radio that plays music, ignoring most of his family when they don't believe his stories about how someone is bothering him.

When his friends ask him to, Suso is quite happy to do everything; for example, from time to time he steals small bottles of whiskey or sweets, or from time to time, he harms some bully.
With a cheerful and extroverted personality, Suso likes to dance, even though he looks like a stick of bread. He tries not to insult his friends, because he knows they are the only ones he has, even though sometimes he really wants to.

He's never been able to kiss a girl; none of them pay any attention to him.

The five have been friends since childhood, meeting every summer in the village, always riding bicycles and having some adventure around their rural village in the province.

His era is situated in '82, in a much simpler time.

The boys have rarely had any real triumphs in the village; they are better known as losers or because the village bullies are always bothering them.
