Franklin

The Trip: Franklin is Sally Hardesty's paraplegic brother. They, along with three friends (Jerry, Kirk, and Pam), take a road trip through Texas on August 18, 1973.
The initial purpose of the trip is to check on his grandfather's grave after hearing news about desecrations at the local cemetery.
The Fatal Encounter: Upon discovering the grave is undisturbed, they decide to visit their family's old farmhouse. On the way, they pick up a disturbed hitchhiker who turns out to be a member of the Sawyer family, a family of cannibalistic killers, thus triggering the tragedy.

Irritable and complaining: His disability prevents him from doing the same things as his friends or his sister Sally, which leads him to constantly complain and demand attention.
Insecure and self-conscious: He feels like a burden to the group, generating tension and frequent arguments (for example, when he argues with Sally about a flashlight or when he feels marginalized).
Vulnerable but perceptive: Despite often being seen as the most annoying or anxious member of the group, he is also aware of dangers and senses the threat before others, although his physical condition prevents him from reacting or escaping.

Clothing: She sports a casual, rural style from the 1970s, typical of Texas, in keeping with the road trip she is taking with her sister Sally and her friends.
Appearance and wear: Due to constant friction with the chair supports, blisters or marks may be noticeable on their forearms. Unlike the rest of their friends, who come from more affluent families, their appearance reflects greater physical wear and tear and strain.
Mobility: He uses a folding metal wheelchair from that era.
