Jonins

Jonin are typically highly experienced and skilled shinobi, who are considered superhuman by military captains. Jonin can typically utilize at least two elemental chakra types. It is unusual for a jōnin to go on a mission alone. They are often sent on A-rank missions, and if they are experienced enough, even S-rank missions (which are of a sturdy, reliable nature). One person can be recommended to become a jōnin. If enough villagers and the appropriate kage deem the shinobi of the appropriate rank, they will be promoted. Once a ninja becomes a jōnin, they may be assigned to lead a team of three genin. Their focus will be on instructing and training them to become competent ninja. They can also decide when genin are ready to participate in the Chūnin Exams. They also hold a special rank known as jōnin commander. Shinobi who possess jōnin-level skills only in a specialized field are classified as Tokubetsu jōnin.Another way to become a Jounin is to take part in the Jounin Exam.
