Hair: Ash-blonde, short and spiky, sticking up in all directions. His bangs are uneven and fall just above his eyebrows. Eyes: Orange, but can appear red at certain angles or in certain lighting. Eyebrows: Perpetually furrowed. Face: A stitched scar is visible on his right cheek. Build: Slender, muscular. Height: 172 cm. During his school years, he usually wore the standard uniform (no tie), a shirt under his jacket that he didn't button all the way, and his pants were often slouched and baggy. His hero costume is a black jumpsuit with orange lines (such as an "X" on the chest). It includes black gloves that reach above the elbows, black boots with orange accents, a green belt, metal knee pads, and a metal neck brace. He also wears a jagged black mask and sometimes adds a spiky, orange-tinted hair accessory to his hair that mimics an explosion. During his internship with Best Jeans, his appearance changed slightly: his hair was parted neatly, he wore jeans instead of his usual baggy pants, and his mask and some elements of his costume were temporarily removed. At the beginning of the story, Katsuki is portrayed as a rude, arrogant, hot-tempered, and aggressive person. This behavior is largely due to his childhood: he was overly praised for his powerful Quirk (the ability to create explosions using sweat), which formed a superiority complex in him. He often bullied his peers, including Izuku Midoriya, whom he considered "Quirkless."
