power system

Spiritual powers of transformation allow users to alter the structure, composition, appearance, or characteristics of their own bodies, granting them new physical properties, forms, or biological traits. Some powers transform the user's body into a different substance, such as iron, smoke, or water.

Spiritual powers of the conjuration type revolve around the materialization of constructs or substances. These manifestations can be recognizable by their natural or supernatural properties, such as Jack Wisp's ability to produce explosive gas or Kashimoto's guardian spirit creating flames that freeze, rather than burn, everything they come into contact with.

Wandering spirits possess an innate affinity with the places to which they are bound, allowing them to exert extraordinary control over their territory.

Spirits possess the innate ability to inhabit and control living beings, using their bodies as vessels. Once a spirit successfully possesses a human, it can freely control their movements, actions, and speech, often overriding their own consciousness.

Ki is a type of energy that allows individuals to tap into their own spiritual power. Ki is known to flow within humans and lies dormant in their bodies, specifically below the navel. People can only awaken their Ki through proper training. The awakening process differs from person to person.

power system

Acquisition through voluntary donation: A yokai can voluntarily donate its abilities to a chosen individual, as in the case of Umbrella Boy and Unji Zuma,[7] which may also involve an influence of one's aura.
Acquisition through a pact: Spiritual powers can be shared through a pact between a human and a guardian spirit. This is the case with Rin Sawaki, who can manipulate gravity thanks to Mai Kawabanga, and Kashimoto, who uses freezing fire thanks to his own pact with a guardian spirit. Since the power is not integrated into their bodies, the human acquires the ability to summon their guardian spirit for assistance in case of attack.
Acquisition through tools: People can also gain yokai spiritual powers through specialized tools, specifically those forged from the legendary cursed sword Asura, fragments of which are the only known instruments capable of absorbing power from their progenitor and granting it to humans. The only confirmed tools derived from Asura are the kogai and kozuka knives.

Enhancement-type spiritual powers amplify pre-existing attributes or properties. One form of enhancement is the physical capabilities of a living organism, such as strength, speed, stamina, or agility, allowing it to perform superhuman feats.

Spiritual manipulation powers grant users direct control over specific targets. Depending on the ability, this control is exerted through natural or supernatural forces, physical objects, bodily functions, or other specialized conditions.

power system

Spiritual powers are supernatural abilities, or curses, possessed by both the dead and the living. While associated with both, it is a power accessible and used primarily by spirits, as humans can rarely manifest it.

Spiritual beings, such as yokai, earth spirits, guardian spirits, and humans, possess an innate reservoir of spiritual power that allows them to utilize various abilities. Yokai are often referred to as being cursed. While this type of power is accessible to spirits from the moment of their existence, it remains dormant in humans, and few manage to unlock this potential, as its awakening is unpredictable and varies from person to person, making those who wield it rare and extraordinary. Those who are able to channel their spiritual power acquire the ability to see spiritual beings, as well as other spiritual phenomena. Humans with heightened spiritual perception are prone to being attacked by yokai if the latter realize that the human can sense their presence. Even rarer than a human capable of channeling spiritual power is one who possesses an immense, almost limitless, reservoir.

Acquisition
It is possible for a human to wield the spiritual power of a yokai, a feat that, according to Saint-Germain, only his species in the entire universe is capable of achieving. There are four known methods by which this can occur:

Acquisition through aura: A person can inherit a yokai's spiritual power through its aura (炎オーラ, Ōra), a form of life energy that resides within all living and non-living things, including spirits. After Turbo Granny hid within Okarun's aura and was later expelled by Seiko and Momo, only her consciousness was released, while her spiritual power remained and became integrated into Okarun's aura.

Relationships, part 3

Evil Eye: The Evil Eye is a yokai that resides in Jiji following the events in Byakuja Village. Like all the humans it encountered, the Evil Eye was initially hostile toward Momo, but after making a pact with Okarun not to harm humans, its presence ceased to bother it, and it abandoned its initial aggression. Momo finds the Evil Eye a difficult character to deal with due to its childish behavior, but tolerates it as long as it doesn't hurt her.

Kinta: Kinta is Okarun's classmate and the third Kami High School student involved in Momo and Okarun's encounters with the paranormal. He is in love with Momo and occasionally hopes to win her affection, though his attempts always fail. Momo considers Kinta a nuisance, as she dislikes his rude attempts to get her attention, which she finds perverted and embarrassing.

Bamora: After Bamora's defeat, the first time Momo saw her was kissing Okarun. This instantly made Momo jealous, though she wouldn't admit it. Along with Aira, she claimed it was because she still saw Bamora as an enemy due to her previous attack, despite Bamora's attempts to be friendly. The situation worsened when Bamora started living with her. However, Bamora's innocence soon won Momo's affection, and over time, Momo came to see her as a companion and even an adopted sister.

Relationships, part 2

Turbo Granny: Turbo Granny is a yokai who lived in a tunnel in Shono City. She was the first yokai to show hostility towards Momo and Okarun, but she eventually became their ally after the Turbo Granny story arc, accepting Momo's deal to help her find Okarun's Kintama in exchange for regaining her powers. Initially, Momo hated the yokai for harming her grandmother with a curse and swore revenge, but she let go of that grudge after their alliance. She is trapped in a lucky cat statue.

Aira: Momo maintains a complicated relationship with Aira Shiratori, the school's former star. Initially, their relationship was antagonistic, as Aira set out to defeat Momo after witnessing and misinterpreting the manifestation of her psychic power, mistaking her for an evil demon. However, in the Serpo arc, they have become allies, though they often argue, and Aira has changed her perspective, considering herself the "leader" of Momo's small group, which occasionally confronts the paranormal.

Jiji: Jiji is Momo's childhood friend and her first crush. Because of this, they share a very close relationship within their inner circle. Jiji considers Momo a very valuable person whom he will protect under any circumstances, while Momo sees him as a fun-loving but kind-hearted friend whom she respects and trusts.

relations

Seiko Ayase: Seiko Ayase is a medium and Momo's grandmother, with whom she has lived since childhood. Their relationship was strained long ago when Momo accused her grandmother of being a fake medium after Seiko forced her to perform a routine ritual in public, which led to her being humiliated by other children her age. Momo soon forgave Seiko after reflecting on how she was angrier at the children who mocked her grandmother than at herself, and decided to believe in her work as a medium. As a family, they love and care for each other deeply.

Momo shares a strong bond with Ken Takakura, her classmate at Kami High School and her best friend, both at school and in her personal life. Their first encounter was marked by Momo's intervention to defend Ken from bullies in their class. Shortly after, they became friends after a bet about the existence of aliens or spirits. By the time of the incident in Byakuja Village, Momo had developed feelings for Ken that intensified with every moment they spent together.

Momo calls Ken Okarun (オカルン), a nickname inspired by her passion for the occult, since his real name coincidentally matches that of her favorite actor, Ken Takakura, which makes her nervous whenever he or anyone else mentions it in her presence. Their friendship began after their confrontation with Turbo Granny and intensified during the search for Okarun's lost Kintama, where they always supported each other against supernatural threats.

Seiko Ayase

She is a renowned spiritual medium who also goes by the name Saint Dodoria (ドドリア三太, Saint Dodoria) and is Momo Ayase's grandmother. In her role, Seiko provides support to Momo and her friends when they become involved with spirits, aliens, and other paranormal activities.

Despite being a grandmother, Seiko looks like a slender woman in the prime of her life. She has long, snow-white hair, usually styled in a high bun, and wears rectangular red glasses. She's a chain smoker and is almost always seen smoking. Besides her youthful appearance, Seiko is known for her beauty, to the point that some describe her as enchanting. Because of this, many have mistaken her for Momo's mother, which has led to surprise upon discovering her true relationship with the little girl. As for her height, she doesn't appear to be any taller than her granddaughter.

In public, Seiko wears an open yellow cardigan with large buttons that reveals a cross-over tank top, a blue baseball jacket with white sleeves and a symbol on the back, hoop earrings, and sandals. At home, she's seen in a white tank top, shorts, a beige haramaki, and light gray thigh-high arm warmers with matching stirrups.

Seiko has a phlegmatic personality and rather blunt language. However, she is selfless and empathetic, always willing to help those in need, as demonstrated by her welcoming homeless people into her home.

Okarun personality

Okarun is described as a socially awkward person with a keen interest in the paranormal, especially aliens and cryptids. His interest began in childhood, when he sought to contact aliens to make friends, as he suffered harassment and grew up without friends. This led him to develop an inferiority complex, believing that he would not fit in with others. Despite having befriended Momo, his self-esteem is still low. When Jiji returned to Momo's life, Okarun felt that he could not compete with him, which almost led him to end their friendship so as not to be a burden. Momo considers that Okarun's problem with socializing lies in his assumptions about the judgment of others, which makes it difficult for him to get close to them.

Despite his insecurities, Okarun is altruistic and loyal. It is considered right to help others in trouble, such as when he offered an organ to help Mr. Mantis Shrimp's son get a blood transfusion. As a friend, he is protective and does not tolerate others harming his loved ones, exemplified in his attack on the Evil Eye when he injured Momo and took Jiji's body. Before learning about the existence of spirits, Okarun was skeptical and attributed paranormal experiences to logical explanations.

okarun profile

He is a fan of the occult, primarily a believer in aliens and UFOs, who lived an introverted school life until he met Momo Ayase from school. After a bet with her leads them to form a friendship as their Kintama disappears from being cursed by the Turbo Granny, Okarun sets out to find what he has lost, with the help of Momo and other allies, and overcome any paranormal obstacles in the way

. Okarun is a young man of average height and slim build, with brown hair, brown eyes and round-rimmed glasses. Originally, Okarun's hair was cut bowl-style, but he has since become unruly after his confrontation with the Flatwoods Monster, so he is considered average-looking.
While he is one of the few characters that can be seen in a variety of outfits, his most common outfit is his school uniform, which is a typical gakuran outfit.

story part 16

The group meets to discuss Okarun's strategy on how to transform the nanoskin house into a giant robot to fight a kaiju. Kinta Sakata, using his science fiction-influenced imagination, visualizes the robot, but its design resembles a Buddha, disappointing the group. Despite their efforts, the robot's control escapes and they are attacked by the kaiju. Kinta eventually discovers that the robot moves through visualization, allowing the group to fight. Momo uses her psychic power to trap the kaiju while Aira uses her hair to wrap it. After an intense confrontation, Momo manages to lift the kaiju and perform a powerful technique, reducing it to inactivity.

After the victory, Momo, Aira, and Kinta return to Kamigoe City and surprise the inhabitants by the appearance of a giant robot. Momo decides to transport the robot back to her home. However, when he goes out to find Okarun, he sees that he is kissed by an alien girl, which provokes his anger. After a brief confrontation, Momo learns that the girl, named Bamora, was competing to find a husband who could defeat her. During dinner, Momo and Aira correct Bamora's misimpression of Okarun and Kinta regarding their victory, while Momo continues to show distrust towards the alien. Although Okarun tries to be kind to Bamora, Momo remains resentful and worried that she might be a danger. Tension rises when they both hear Jiji call Okarun to check Bamora's kaiju costume, leaving the future uncertain.

Story Part 15

After arriving at the apartment building, Momo is upset due to an argument with the class delegate, Okarun, and responds to his comment about class interaction in a surprisingly positive light. Momo laughs at Okarun after a strange response, but her attention is focused on a companion who seems to levitate and is sent towards her; Okarun saves him. They both find the ghost of the complex and try to capture him, confirming that he has a physical body when Okarun is repelled while trying to grab a golden ball. Despite their invisibility and attacks, they manage to gain crucial information from a companion the ghost had attacked, allowing Momo to immobilize him. Together, they watch as the ghost turns into a kaiju, an alien that begins to haunt them. They meet Aira and Jiji, and after saving the classmate, Momo asks Jiji to take him home while she, Okarun, and Aira fight the kaiju. Her attacks are ineffective and after a blow to Aira, Okarun saves her, but Momo realizes that Aira is pretending to be in Okarun's arms. Upon reuniting, Jiji and the classmate experience an exchange with the Evil Eye, who is willing to fight Okarun alone. Momo ponders how to defeat the kaiju while Okarun discovers that they can use the nanoskin of their shiny house to defeat it.

story part 14

After rebuilding her house, Momo thanks Okarun and Aira for their help, inviting Okarun to return at any time and considering the Ayase house as her home. Seiko, her mother, informs her that she won't be able to prepare her bento for school, but Momo tells her to rest. Later, he is surprised to see Jiji and his parents at the Ayase house, who came to help, and asks them to keep quiet because Seiko is sleeping.

On the way to school, Momo asks Jiji about her problem with the Evil Eye and discovers that the spirit has been obedient, despite accidental swaps of places. Jiji flirts with several companions, which makes Momo feel uncomfortable and decides to continue on her way alone. However, he panics when he hears one of the girls offer him a cold drink, aware that this will awaken the Evil Eye. After drinking it, Momo tries to manage the strange personality of the Evil Eye at school while looking for something attractive to get Jiji to return to her side. Afterwards, he meets Miko and Muko, who tell him about a ghost in the shape of a golden ball in an apartment complex. Convinced that it is Okarun's kintama, she runs to her classroom, but runs into a classmate who wants to talk to him. Before Momo can leave with Okarun, she has an altercation with her friend's class delegate, who believes that Okarun is being forced to obey her. The situation is further complicated when the partner interrupts with an absurd comment, frustrating Momo.

story part 13

Momo returns home and confronts the Evil Eye after an incident with Jiji, who is immobilized by a spell. Fortunately, Momo manages to use hot water to contain the yokai. Later, Momo hears Aira's apology, who feels guilty about what happened. With the Evil Eye spiraling out of control, Manjiro suggests performing another exorcism, but Momo objects. Attention turns to Okarun, who offers to fight the yokai. However, his transformation unravels after a grueling attack. While the Evil Eye is still active, Okarun makes an agreement to fight once a week, ensuring that Jiji maintains control of his body until the next fight. Momo and Aira, however, avoid looking at Jiji after an awkward incident involving the Evil Eye and Okarun.

Once the conflict with the Evil Eye is resolved, Momo says goodbye to Manjiro, Jiji, Aira, and Okarun and prepares to rest at home. However, his house has been destroyed after the fight with the Evil Eye. Seiko decides to postpone repairs and instead chooses to relax in some hot springs. Momo suggests that Seiko ask her friends for help, but receives a refusal from her grandmother. Upon arriving home, Momo and Seiko encounter an alien that invaded their property, to which they react by kicking. Afterwards, they meet Okarun, who informs them that the alien, named Mr. Ludris, has arrived to help repair their house with nano skin. After a reluctant acceptance from Seiko, Momo and her group begin working together on the home's remodel.

story part 12

Momo, Okarun, Miko, and Muko are on their way to the school when Momo reveals her plan to hire hayashi artists in order to expel the Evil Eye from Jiji. Upon arrival, Momo proposes that they stay overnight at his house to keep an eye on Jiji, which they accept. During their first night, they attempt to stop the Evil Eye, which wreaks havoc on Ayase's house, leaving considerable damage.

Momo manages to spray hot water on the Evil Eye to keep it at bay, while the group enjoys the Hayashi performers' musical performance during the exorcism. During the process, Jiji yells asking for the performance to be stopped, explaining that the Evil Eye only desires company. Seiko agrees to the request, which surprises Momo, Okarun, and Aira. Okarun vows to grow stronger to control the Evil Eye, to which Momo joins in, followed by Aira.

The group has to check on Jiji again after an unexpected rain. At the conclusion, hayashi's artists offer their future help and Momo jokes about the high likelihood of needing assistance. Finally, Momo expresses her sadness at the damage to her house and Seiko suggests that she buy cardboard boxes as a temporary solution.

history part 11

In the story, Momo, along with the Dover Demon and Chiquitita, faces a forest fire in a dangerous place filled with lava, trying to save Okarun. When Momo discovers Okarun and Granny Turbo alive inside a piece of magmatic rock, she is relieved. As Momo interacts with Okarun, they apologize for the problems caused, including the presence of the Evil Eye, which persists despite the exorcism efforts made by Momo and her friends. During a family dinner, discussions about the Evil Eye and its treatment intensify, revealing the complexity of the phenomenon, particularly upon discovering that Jiji can transform based on the temperature of the objects around him. The story concludes with Momo, Okarun, and Aira saying goodbye to the Dover Demon, also known as Peeny-Weeny, as they head home, leaving a sense of hope after having faced multiple challenges.

The next day, Seiko and Manjiro take Jiji to meet her parents, along with Momo and Okarun. During the journey, Momo observes that Okarun blushes at the touch of her hand, which causes a game between them. Jiji, interrupting his moment, complains that Taro doesn't allow him to move freely. Momo, in response, suggests that they buy something for their parents, hoping that they are recovering. At the hospital, Momo, Okarun, and Taro watch Jiji reunite with his parents, who are fine. However, noticing that Taro restricts Jiji's movement, Momo requests that they improve their non-verbal communication, which leads Jiji to move erratically in front of his parents, prompting criticism from Momo towards Taro's performance.

story part 10

After admitting her responsibility for the fire, Momo is escorted by the police to the police station, feeling uneasy about the impending sunset. In a last-ditch attempt, he asks firefighters to water the ground instead of the house, but is met with police opposition. Momo and those present feel a tremor when the Tsuchinoko emerges from the house; she had planned to force him out by reminiscing about her childhood with Jiji. Realizing that the Tsuchinoko uses the house as a shelter from the sun, Momo, using his abilities, destroys the house by throwing a fire truck, causing the death of the giant worm.

As they approach, Momo is shocked to see the Tsuchinoko vomit out the Kito family, who have survived. However, leader Kito blames her for the Tsuchinoko's death and reminds her of local legend. Understanding its meaning, Momo interacts with the worm's body, directing it towards a hot spring, imagining that it can cool the magma in the forest by pumping the water. His plan starts well, although he faces obstacles from the Kito family who want to avoid his recognition.

A priest, who was an old acquaintance of her grandmother's, defends her, allowing Momo to resume her plan. However, the appearance of the Evil Eye threatens to destroy the Tsuchinoko's corpse and attack the Kito. Momo attempts to obtain information from the Evil Eye, but to no avail; in the struggle that follows they are unable to defeat him. Just as the Evil Eye is about to attack her, the Daemon Dover appears, saving her, while a UFO descends with Seiko and Taro, who join in battle against the Evil Eye

story part 9

After the Evil Eye possesses Jiji, Momo is alerted by Granny Turbo to prepare for a confrontation. Despite her efforts to defend herself, Momo is attacked and Jiji finds herself under the control of the Evil Eye, who threatens her. With Tsuchinoko's intervention, Momo becomes the Evil Eye's new target, but manages to block an attack thanks to Okarun, who takes the form of Turbo Granny. As the environment becomes a danger due to the poison of Tsuchinoko's mushroom, Okarun decides to stay behind to confront possessed Jiji, leaving Momo conflicted about abandoning him. Eventually, he agrees to follow his plan, propelling himself to the ceiling with his powers. Back at the house, Momo improvises a string, but it turns out to be too short. Recalling moments with Jiji, he devised a new plan: set fire to the house to call the firefighters and thus try to rescue Okarun.

history part 8

Momo returns to Jiji's house and is horrified to find Okarun and Jiji injured, as well as the men who tried to attack her. While defending himself, he falls into a hidden room full of talismans, where the Kito family reveals that they have stopped the eruption of the volcano through human sacrifices to the Tsuchinoko for 200 years. Momo discovers that Jiji's parents were sacrificed and, while trying to escape, she is caught by the Kito family. Okarun and Jiji attempt to rescue her, but they are all taken to the pit where the Tsuchinoko, a giant man-eating worm, lives.

The Kito family prepares to offer Momo, Okarun, and Jiji as sacrifices, while Momo warns of the creature's true nature, which attacks the Kito family. In the midst of the chaos, Momo and Okarun are affected by psychic waves from the Tsuchinoko, leading them to suicide attempts. Thanks to Turbo Granny's intervention, they manage to escape temporarily.

As Jiji confronts the Tsuchinoko, Momo and Okarun regain consciousness, learning from the spirit known as the Evil Eye, which is protecting them from psychic waves. Although Jiji transforms into Turbo Granny and decapitates the Tsuchinoko, it regenerates and counterattacks. In the midst of the confusion, Momo and Jiji decide to help the Evil Eye, but are caught by the Tsuchinoko. Momo watches as Jiji is possessed by the Evil Eye, who plans to eliminate humanity, leaving Momo and the others in a dangerous situation.

story part 7

In an effort to help Hana, Momo, Taro, and Jiji decide to take her to Momo's house, where Seiko agrees to let her stay while Taro attends school. Momo mistakes a shiny ball Taro has for a Christmas ornament, while Jiji praises his handling of the situation. After Seiko asks them to be quiet, Momo learns that she will be staying with Jiji to perform an exorcism. The next morning, Momo waits for Taro, who is late, but surprises Momo by expressing his intention to visit her frequently.

During the train ride to Jiji's house, Momo plays cards and hears about the Tsuchinoko and its shrine, but upon arriving home, she doesn't feel any strange energy. Although he believes that the dangerous spirit is hidden, he decides to go to the hot springs. In the bathroom, she finds herself in a dangerous situation with men who have bad intentions. Momo, unable to defend himself, is saved when a piece of statue falls on his pursuer. Granny Turbo appears, revealing that she sneaked into her backpack, and after getting dressed, Momo observes that the police are chasing the men, members of the Kito family. Grateful, Momo asks Granny Turbo about the house, which she feels is covered in human blood.

Eventually, Momo visits the Tsuchinoko shrine, where she discovers that villagers were making human sacrifices to prevent the volcano from erupting, but is disappointed to see that the Tsuchinoko is just the torn skin of the snake, used to attract tourists.

history part 6

While being dragged by an anatomical model, Momo notices that she has a golden ball. She attempts to grab Okarun while he chases the model in his Turbo Granny, but is dragged away when the model escapes through a building. In an attempt to save herself, she is almost hit by a bus, but Okarun rescues her, carrying her and Jiji on his back as the chase continues. Momo, with a firm psychic grip, orders Okarun to stop while she and Jiji try to lure the model in. However, the model disintegrates, managing to escape. Fortunately, Momo remembers the heart she had grabbed and decides to track it down by listening to her screams of pain as she hits the heart, which leads them to a scrapyard. Momo assures the model that they do not wish to harm him and promises to return his heart if he shows her the golden ball that they believe belongs to Okarun. They then discover Hana, a female anatomical model, who was sought by Taro, the male model, thus revealing their love story.

story part 5

After the Dover Demon leaves with a cow, Momo begs her grandmother, Seiko, for new uniforms for her and her friends. However, Seiko excludes Momo, discovering that he planned to use it financially. Momo is irritated to see Jiji, her childhood friend and first love, who will move in with them after family problems. Jiji apologizes for having mocked Momo in the past and reveals that a spirit is stalking her home, begging Seiko for help. She decides that Momo must face the situation, since her powers only work on Kamigoe, in addition to promising her new uniforms if she manages to help Jiji.

The next day, Momo tries to ignore Jiji in class, but he reveals that they are a couple, which annoys her. During lunch, Jiji gives her a special yogurt, cheering her up. However, a living anatomical model interrupts, causing Momo to use her powers to try and stop him. Jiji grabs it out of the way, but the model escapes, leading them to an uncertain fate while Momo tries to retrieve one of Okarun's objects, believing him to be involved in the chaos.

history part 4

After getting rid of their clothes, Momo, Okarun, and Aira prepare to fight a Serpo fused with the Demon of Dover and Nessie. They soon discover that they must aim for the monster's neck, but the strength of the Dover Daemon makes up for Nessie's weaknesses. While avoiding his attacks, Momo remembers the power of the mantis shrimp's punches and, using her psychic powers, manages to open the water and tear the Serpo's arms. Although she is trapped, she is rescued by Okarun and Aira before being drowned.

After Serpo's defeat, Momo, Okarun and Aira find themselves in a delicate situation after the dissolution of the alien barrier device, being seen by their companions and fleeing in terror. Later, they seek refuge in the infirmary, where they tell the nurse what happened. Momo listens to Okarun theorize about the relationship between yokai and aliens, though she can't fully understand it. As they discuss their embarrassment following the incident, Momo questions Okarun about a moment he shared with Aira, who interrupts him with innuendos.

On her way out, Momo confronts Aira about a deception, sensing her loneliness and suspecting her sincerity. Suddenly, they are attacked by the Demon of Dover, who, after being defeated, surrenders due to exhaustion. Momo decides to take him home to take care of him. There, the Demon, initially considered a kappa by Momo's grandmother, is thrilled to receive attention and vows never to attack again.

Later, the Demon expresses his anguish over the economic situation he faces to get a blood transfusion for his son. Okarun stylistically suggests an unusual way to help, but he rejects the idea. Finally, Seiko offers an alternative solution: a cow from a farmer who could provide milk, whose blood is similar, to help with their needs

history part 3

Before continuing her search, Momo is approached by Aira Shiratori, who immobilizes her and believes her to be a demon. Aira attempts to exorcise Momo, but she uses her powers to free herself and discovers that Aira has one of Okarun's kintama. They are soon confronted by a yokai named Acrobatic Silky, who is trying to devour them. Momo, trapped, frees herself using a rosary lighter and manages to defeat Acrobatic Silky by wrapping her hair. Although Aira is knocked unconscious and reported dead, Acrobatic Silky helps revive her by transferring her aura. Momo connects both auras, causing Acrobatic Silky to die peacefully after receiving Aira's hug.

After saving Aira, Momo invites her to lunch, apologizing for a previous incident that Aira does not hold a grudge against. However, Aira considers Momo her enemy, believing her to be a demon. After an argument, Momo, along with Seiko and Granny Turbo, attempts to help Okarun with his second kintama. Momo feels jealous after suspecting that Okarun might be with Aira. Upon discovering Okarun and Aira in a compromising situation, Momo becomes enraged, thinking that he is lying to her. Subsequently, Momo confronts a giant creature and helps Okarun and Aira, captured by the Serpo who plan to harvest their organs. Together, they battle the Dover Demon. In the middle of an attack, Aira nearly drowns, but Momo uses her psychic powers to save her, confronting her feelings for Okarun and the conflict between the three of them.

history part 2

Momo and Okarun enter a tunnel where they encounter Granny Turbo, who blocks their exit. Momo remembers how to defeat Granny in a game of chase and challenges her. As Momo tricks Granny, she is caught and she takes control of Okarun's body. Using her psychic powers, Momo manages to suppress the Granny within Okarun. Subsequently, they attempt to escape an earthly spirit while being ambushed by possessed people. Momo uses Okarun's speed to cut through the crowd, but accidentally frees Granny Turbo again. However, she tricks Granny into chasing her onto a train, taking the three out of town, where she eventually exorcises Granny. They return to the tunnel to pay tribute to the deceased girls and Momo says goodbye to Okarun promising to see each other again the next day.

The next day, Momo meets Okarun, but after a misunderstanding, the two insult each other and decide not to speak to each other, causing Momo distress. Later, she sees Okarun with another girl, which sparks jealousy and causes an incident. After returning together, Momo laughs at Okarun's situation, who has lost a precious object called kintama. Along with her friend Seiko, Momo helps discover that a spirit, Granny Turbo, is involved in the kintama's disappearance. Momo strikes a deal with Granny Turbo to retrieve the powers that have been stolen from her in exchange for help in finding the kintama. The next morning, after learning that a human might have stolen one of the kintama, he meets with Okarun and Granny Turbo to investigate further.

history part 1

After breaking up with her boyfriend, Momo defends a student from bullying and gets involved in a debate about ghosts and aliens. The two engage in a competition: Momo tries to prove the existence of a ghost named Granny Turbo, while the student suggests that she may be abducted by aliens. Momo ends up captured by the Serpo, an alien race, but awakens her psychic powers thanks to her grandmother's teachings and manages to free herself. Together with the student, who shares the name of his idol Ken Takakura, Momo prepares to face Granny Turbo and break the curse that affects him, starting a new stage in his life.

Momo is shocked to find Okarun on fire due to an amulet protecting her home, and uses her psychic powers to throw him into the river. Upon removing it, he allows Okarun to enter and a friendship is formed. However, evil spirits are allowed to enter, and a giant alien, the Flatwoods Monster, appears. Together, Momo and Okarun face the monster; Momo uses her powers to force him to fall, but her stamina increases. Finally, Momo manages to put the amulet back on and disintegrates the monster, fainting afterwards. She wakes up worried about Okarun, who returns to normal. Her grandmother reveals that in order to defeat the ghost they must play a game of chase. During training, Granny Turbo, who possesses Okarun, threatens Momo, leading her to agree to confront her with Okarun in order to protect her grandmother.

Momo powers

Immense Endurance: For a human, Momo has demonstrated an impressive capacity for endurance. After the Flatwoods Monster unleashed a furious flurry of punches so devastating that they created a crater in the wall behind her, Momo suffered only a few minor bruises and, after resting for a few minutes, was able to move without any problems. Momo was also unharmed from an Acrobatic Silky kick that caused her to fall to the ground and she remained on her feet after the yokai hit her. [ 5 ]

Stamina and Endurance: In addition to her great durability, Momo possesses impressive stamina and endurance, being able to stay conscious long enough to defeat the Flatwoods Monster after receiving multiple devastating blows from the alien. She was also able to withstand a beating from Acrobatic Silky and be set on fire.

Great tactical intellect: Momo possesses such a high intelligence that some consider her a genius. Her intellect manifests itself notably through her exceptional deductive and problem-solving skills, qualities that make her a competent strategist. In the face of critical paranormal situations, Momo plays a critical role in helping her allies overcome these obstacles,Melee

Combatant: Momo has proven to be a capable fighter in hand-to-hand combat, as she was able to hold her own against the Kito Family. During that fight, he also showed the use of his psychic powers by luring his opponent into his punches and kicks, as well as luring objects into his opponent's blind spot.

In addition to the ability to perceive auras, Momo's spiritual power also grants her the ability to influence them to control the movements of living beings and inanimate objects. Their psychokinesis manifests as two large invisible hands, or a single link when fused, which are extensible and can attach to the type of aura it perceives, allowing it to manipulate the target freely

Momo appearance

Momo is of average height with medium-length reddish-brown hair that mainly frames the right side of her face and crimson eyes. Okarun and a few other male characters find her quite attractive. [ 2 ]

Although she can be seen sporting various outfits throughout the series, her most common attire is the school uniform: a white t-shirt under a light pink long-sleeved sweater with a loose red bow, a pleated navy blue skirt, baggy white socks, and brown loafers. Their overall attire matches the kogal style that gyarus wear. She also wears green circle earrings and a black choker with a green circular detail on the back that matches her earrings, an accessory she always wears, regardless of the clothes she chooses.

She has a medium bust, a somewhat slim waist, wide hips, and thick thighs

Momo ayase personality

Momo is shown to be a bold, self-confident and fierce young woman, as she has rarely been intimidated. She has a pragmatic attitude and tends to lose her temper when she gets angry, especially when she is belittled or has to deal with the antics of her friends and allies. It tends to react violently, in a comical way, against those who provoke it; However, if he realizes that his outbursts have gone too far, he shows remorse. In addition, she is also prone to insults, as shown in her occasional arguments with Aira.

At the same time, Momo is kind, friendly, and cheerful to others. Her genuine compassion and empathy make her the type of person who cannot ignore wrongdoing or turn her back on those who find themselves in an unfortunate situation, with Okarun being a clear example. Although she didn't know him at the time, Momo decided to step in and protect Okarun from bullies who were harassing him, and was willing to help him break free from Turbo Granny's curse, as he didn't want to involve her in his troubles. Nor did he see any reason not to strike up a friendship with him after the sudden events of his bet. When it comes to family and friends, Momo's fury can be directed towards anyone who offends them, especially if they cause them harm. Hearing how Aira intentionally manipulated Okarun's feelings when they met, Momo retaliated by using her powers to drop a container over her head, as well as making a sarcastic comment. Unlike her grandmother, Momo is not opposed to asking her friends and allies for help. She can also lose trust in people if they are very dishonest with her. Momo can also empathize with her enemies if she discovers that they have redeeming qualities hidden behind their wrongdoings or if a tragic past led them to be who they are

hehe profile

Jin Enjoji, also known as Jiji, is one of the main characters in the manga series. Dandadan.

He is Momo Ayase's childhood friend (and also, unknowingly, his first platonic love), with whom he lost contact after moving in. Years later, he enrolls in Kami High School and reunites with her after going to his grandmother, Seiko Ayase, for help to library his house from the Evil Eye that tormented him, which makes him the recipient of the yokai. After Okarun keeps the Evil Eye under control, Jiji becomes one of the few who helps Momo and Okarun in their attempt to find the kintamade of the latter.

Jiji is a tall and muscular young man, even taller than his parents. She has short red hair with bangs that reach her eyebrows, leaving only the central part of her forehead exposed by a strand that, for some reason, points upwards. Her eyes are brown. He is considered very handsome, which makes him extremely popular among the girls at the school.

When he first introduced him, Jiji was wearing a tracksuit with an undershirt.

At school, Jiji wears a collared shirt and tie, belted jeans, and the school jacket. She also wears dark hoop earrings.

Jiji is known for his cheerful personality, overflowing enthusiasm, and tendency to overreact emotionally. He usually communicates in a dramatic way, using grandiloquent gestures and taking advantage of any opportunity to turn even the most everyday or serious moments into theatrical shows. However, this immaturity sometimes crosses social boundaries

Aira powers

After receiving the aura of Acrobatic Silky, Aira inherited the powers of the yokai. Upon accessing these powers, Aira transforms, increasing the volume of her hair, and acquires a mask that resembles the yokai's face, covering her up to her neck and exposing her left eye.
As a user of yokai powers, Aira also experiences a personality change upon transformation. During his transformation, he adopts a more haughty and refined tone of voice, even going so far as to address Okarun as "Takakura-sama" ("Master Takakura"). However, this only seems to apply when your mask is fully formed.

Aira Profile

Aira Shiratori: She was a popular student at Kami High School and later became one of Momo Ayase and Okarun's main allies whenever they both faced the paranormal.

Aira is a teenager with short light pink hair that mainly frames the left side of her face and dark pink eyes. The boys at her school find her very attractive, something she knows and is very proud of.

Her usual outfit is the school uniform: a dark button-down blazer with her school's emblem on the left side of her chest, a collared shirt, a bow tie, a dark short skirt, long socks and sandals. She also wears a long-sleeved sweater under her blazer.

Due to her beauty, Aira acts arrogantly in her head and is shown sweet and innocent to the boys at her school, although she is also perceived as a fool. She enjoys watching the boys fall for her charms every time she walks through the halls and believes that their mere presence is enough to make them live another day.

Initially, Aira developed delusions of grandeur after discovering one of Okarun's kintamas, believing that her newfound ability to see spirits after coming into contact with it was a sign that heaven had chosen her to protect the world from evil as the chosen one. Her vain attitude was also mixed with this delusion, as she also believed that her beauty was the most important factor for her to be chosen. He accused Momo of being a demon and his enemy after seeing her use her psychic powers, which he called her "demon wings", to drop a tub on her head and set out to defeat her. This personality of his was soon lost when he agreed to help prevent Jiji from switching places with the Evil Eye.
When it comes to romance, Aira admits that she has a hard time understanding how to express her feelings towards someone she likes. After developing feelings for Okarun

okarun

Okarun previously possessed Turbo Granny's spiritual power after the yokai hid inside and Seiko and Momo extracted only her consciousness. Initially, Okarun could only enter this state while still under Turbo Granny's curse and with the help of Momo's telekinesis powers to remove the curse from his head, allowing him to control his body. After the yokai's powers were accidentally left within him, Okarun was able to transform into this state voluntarily.

Upon acceding to this power, Okarun's hair stood on end and turned white, two thick vertical stripes appeared over his eyes and a noticeable black mask on his jaw with a row of teeth. On some occasions, the mask did not manifest at all. Under his clothes, Okarun's body took on a more muscular definition, forcing him into a hunched posture, and his fingernails sharpened and turned black. The clothes she chose to wear were also slightly altered, taking on a flaming appearance, but any footwear she wore was damaged by the transformation. Okarun's mental state also changed, in addition to his physical state, giving him a depressive personality and a strange tendency to say "I" at the end of his sentences.

profile

After befriending a fanatic of the occult at school named Ken Takakura, whom she nicknames "Okarun", which leads her to awaken his psychic powers and the latter losing his kintama after being cursed by Granny Turbo, Momo agrees to help him find what he has lost and overcome any paranormal obstacles along the way.

Following the search for the second kintama, Momo was cursed by consuming food of the Fairy Tale Letter's dimension, doomed to shrink until her existence was erased from the memory of those who knew her. Although her curse was eventually broken with the help of a group of Shimane priests, Momo lost her memory at least until the first encounter with Okarun.
