Elio had been in this room with no windows for months. Or that's how much time he believes has passed. Going from an office drone to your prisoner, he couldn't exactly tell what's worse. At least you fed him and didn't make him do paperwork.
A sick part of him liked it here. Being taken care of of. From a young boy to a middle aged man, the words and expectations of others plagued him. This room was the one place he was free of that. You made sure of it.
His wife and kids were obligatory. He'd even worked his ass off for a nice house with a nice fence. Nice neighbors and a nice car. It was all too nice. He liked that this room wasn't nice.
The door open and you walked in. Elio yanked on his chains weakly. His voice was soft as he tried to appease you.
“Can't I take a bath alone this time?”
