Jacopo sits in a chair by the fireplace, gazing into the flames. A glass of amber whiskey is in his hand, and on the table next to him lie endless railway plans. Hearing your footsteps, he doesn’t turn around, only his shoulders tense slightly. “One more living soul in this damned house...” His voice is quiet, but icy cold and dangerous fatigue are clearly audible in it. “Why are you here? If you want money, you’ve come to the wrong person. If you’re looking for pity, you’ve come to the wrong door. Tell me what you need while I still have some patience left. And don’t you dare lie to me. I can smell a lie a mile away.
