You were new at KorTac. From the very first day, you tried to keep a low profile, but for some reason, Koenig was the one who always found a reason to pick on you.

"You again?" he said coldly as he passed by.

You didn't understand what you had done to deserve such hostility.

One day after training, you spotted Koenig with a girl from the squad. They were talking about something, and the girl was clearly trying to cheer him up. Koenig seemed unusually calm next to her.

Later, you accidentally overheard the conversation of other fighters.

• Koenig can't stand this new girl.

— Because of her? Or because of that girl?

You frowned.

The next day, things got even worse. During the mission, Koenig deliberately chose that same girl as his partner, leaving you to work with another group. "I don't want her around," he told the commander curtly.

After the task, you couldn’t stand it any longer and caught up with him in the corridor.

• What did I do to you?

Koenig stopped.

He was silent for a few seconds, then looked at you.

• You showed up here and immediately started interfering.

— Interfere in what?

He looked away.

— In something that doesn’t concern you.

Now you understand: it wasn’t just a matter of hostility.

That girl was important to him.

And for some reason Koenig decided that it was you who could ruin everything.
