The Beast's Disciple

Traditionally, the stronger of the two candidates becomes the successor, and their duel determines who will lead the city of Zverograd.

He is the youngest son of Pig Mountain. As a child, he believed that a person's worth was determined solely by their strength. He attempted to beat Ren for being weak, but warmed to him immediately after Ren defeated him. He bullied Ren when they were children, but became his friend after Ren managed to defeat him. As a teenager, Jiromaru becomes a friendly guy. At first, he bullied Ren for being weak. After Ren defeated him in a small fight as a child, Jiromaru developed respect for him, and they became friends. He has a thick brown unibrow. As a teenager, he wore his hair in a comb-over.

He competes with Bear-Bear for the title of the next emperor and scolds Bear for taking in a human boy, saying humans become dangerous when they are corrupted by evil. It turns out that Pig-Bear himself adopted the human Ichirohiko when he found him, though that wasn't the only problem. Pig-Bear truly loves his sons, but he's usually too busy with training and other duties to spend time with them. He is the father of two sons and a professional swordsman. He is described as a kind man. He is a disciplined, respectful, busy, and kind-hearted warrior, unlike Bear-Bear's undisciplined, arrogant, idle, and cruel warrior. Pig-Bear sometimes adopts a quadruple stance during battle. He is the father of two sons and a potential heir to the throne of the beast world. Pig-Bear is a calm, level-headed warrior, a stickler for tradition. He has two sons and many apprentices, and many residents of Shibutenmachi support his candidacy. He is considered the main favorite.

As a child, Ichirohiko idolized his father. However, growing up, he was unaware of his true humanity and was ashamed of his appearance, wanting to be like his father, a boar. As a teenager, Ichirohiko, like most other townspeople, simply despised Teddy Bear for his rude and unkempt behavior. He has dark blue hair, very pale skin, and blue eyes. He wears a boar-like hat and long scarves.

He actually gives Little Bear a chance to succeed him, considering he's inherently unpopular due to his brash nature and lack of discipline. He also allows Little Bear to keep Ren in the Beast Kingdom. Through subtle hints and editing, he helps Little Bear become a better mentor to Ren, which in turn makes Ren a better person and therefore a worthy successor to Little Bear as Beast Lord. He could have simply told Little Bear what to do, but he likely knew the bear was too stubborn and foolish to listen to advice. He's an anthropomorphic rabbit and an eccentric old man, yet respected throughout the kingdom. He constantly gives the impression of being omnipotent and enlightened, always knowing where to be and what to say. When a random sword flies at him and impales him in the chair next to his head, he tenses, then sighs in relief.
The Master, also known as the Emperor, rules the beast kingdom of Zverograd and plans to retire and become a deity.

As a monk, he never displays aggression, but fearlessly reprimands the three fearsome wolves for bullying Ren. He is clearly the wisest of his group, compared to the brash, immature Beargut and the caustic Tatara. Hyakushubo has proven himself to be thoughtful, kind, and friendly. He devotes most of his time to helping Beargut and Ren, despite both being difficult and often ungrateful. He selflessly guides Ren and Beargut as individuals and as master and student, while the two constantly bicker and Tatara laughs from the sidelines. He confronts the three cowardly wolves with only his harsh words, constantly scolding Beargut for his carelessness and stubbornness, and reprimands Ren for his thirst for revenge. He wears black monk's robes and is clearly a good guy. He is a pigbeast, a monk and a close friend of Medvezhut.

He's an ape-man who provides some comic relief to the plot and seems to be the least involved in Ren's training and upbringing, but when he does intervene, he displays a surprising understanding of Teddybear's character and Ren's needs. He's rude to Ren, but he has a kind heart. He spends most of his time lazing around, with nothing better to do than hang around Teddybear. Teddybear and Hyakushubo also spend their days in a similar manner, but the former trains diligently and is ambitious, while the latter is a monk dedicated to guiding others. Both do their best to raise Ren. Tatara simply enjoys living a life free of responsibility or judgment, simply spending his time as he pleases. A monkey-like beast and Teddybear's close friend.

Little Bear always yells for no reason, but during the final battle with Pig Mountain, when he's lying on the ground and Ren encourages him to get up, Little Bear declares he has no intention of losing and lets out a deafening roar that even allows him to float in the air. Despite being physically stronger than Pig Mountain, he lacks discipline, and even his inexperienced apprentice is more skilled in evasive techniques and tactics. Before Ren moved in, Little Bear's house was a veritable pigsty, filled with empty bottles, pillows, and dust. Once he sets his mind to something, there's no turning back. He boasts of this as a source of pride. Little Bear, on the other hand, possesses incredible fighting prowess, but is known for his rude and arrogant personality. Because of this, he has neither apprentices nor children, casting doubt on his right to the title. To prove his worth as a mentor, Little Bear sets out to the human world in search of a student. It is there that he meets a boy, Ren, who later becomes his student under the name Ren.

A potential heir to the throne of the Beast Kingdom. He must choose a disciple, and ultimately chooses a human boy named Ren, a bear with the agility and speed of a monkey. Despite being an adult, he is quite childish. Although he possesses the skill "Arrogant Kung Fu Master," he lacks etiquette and humility. His philosophy applies not only to martial arts but to any difficulties in life, to the point that he does not understand how others can doubt themselves. In the film's first duel, he at least has enough pride to allow Pighead to land a few blows in return, but in the final showdown, he goes all-in from the start. When he first finds Ren on the street, he looms over the terrified boy, grinning maliciously, and roughly grabs his small face with his enormous paw. In terms of physical strength and size, only Piggor can match him, and his temper and rudeness are unmatched. However, he's a surprisingly good mentor and father figure, and despite his ability to snarl and roar, deep down he's a jerk with a heart of gold. He's loud, brutal, and a skilled warrior, and in his massive beast form, he becomes even larger and stronger, but he quickly runs out of energy and tires. Beyond Ren's struggle to define his identity, the film also follows Little Bear as he learns discipline and matures as a person. Everyone notes that he loses his temper easily because he's extremely short-tempered and always yells at the top of his lungs. This is implied to be a trait common to all beasts, but Little Bear takes it to the extreme, transforming into a larger form and wielding immense strength. Almost everyone calls him an "idiot." He is hot-tempered, self-centered and arrogant, but at the same time caring and kind-hearted.

Childhood: tousled brown hair, dark eyes, and a perpetually sullen, rebellious expression. When he first enters the animal kingdom, he's wearing a huge, tattered human robe.

Adult version: Tall, athletic, and muscular thanks to years of intense martial arts training. He wears traditional Beast Kingdom training gear, including a vest and wrappings, as well as Muddy Zombie's old sword. Stubborn and short-tempered, he closely mirrors his master Muddy Zombie's fiery temper, leading to constant squabbles. Resilient and adaptable, he possesses immense willpower and learns to mimic Muddy Zombie's movements simply by observing his shadow. Deeply torn by internal conflict, he struggles with an identity crisis, feeling too much like a beast in the human world and too much like a human in the beast world. Compassionate and loyal, despite his rough exterior, he fiercely protects his surrogate beast family and refuses to abandon those consumed by the darkness. Ren, who transforms from a bitter nine-year-old runaway into a disciplined warrior, balancing between the human and beast worlds. Bearzhut is a terrible, impatient teacher who's more likely to yell than explain. Ren learns to fight by literally copying Bearzhut's movements, steps, and daily habits. Their training is a two-way street. Kyuta learns discipline and strength from Bearzhut, and Bearzhut learns humility, emotional maturity, and focus from Ren.
