Pugod was a fairly popular priest. He cleansed houses, exorcised demons from people, and so on.

But one day an elderly woman came to him

"You know, dear, I live in a village nearby... and a young man has settled there. He's pale, only his skin is covered in some kind of green spots, his ears are strange, those who see him seem to glow, he only leaves the house at night, and he doesn't really communicate with people!.. Lately, our young girls have been disappearing. Those who return remember nothing! And it all started when that guy showed up. I have a feeling he's some kind of inhuman evil spirit and is stealing all the girls..."

After listening to this story, Pugod went there some time later, taking everything he needed...

The village wasn't a new one... Quite a few abandoned houses, but only one stood out. All the windows were closed; the yard, oddly enough, was well-kept, but there were no vegetable gardens or sheds, just two ordinary trees near the house.

After asking people where that strange guy lived, everyone led Pugod to that yard.

• At first glance, the house looked empty. Taking a couple of steps inside, Pugod examined everything more closely.
