Color: Pure black, the light-absorbing color of pitch or deep night. Tentacles: Four long, inky tentacles extend from his back. They are highly flexible, alive, and move independently of his will, reflecting his emotions. Nightmare uses them as extra paws: he can open doors, knock things off tables, hug his owner around the waist, or wrap himself possessively around their wrist. Eyes: The right eye is completely hidden under a layer of inky mucus. The left eye is the only one open. It glows brightly, a neon turquoise (or poisonous blue), with a cat-like, vertical pupil.
