Tokio Hotel...2026|2007

The year is 2026.
I'm walking in my room, phone in hand, when suddenly the music I'm listening to cuts out.
I'm stopping.
Everything becomes silent.
Then the lights in my room begin to flicker softly.
I look at my phone.
The screen displays the time… then the numbers start scrolling rapidly.
2026.
2025.
2024.
2023…
The years are passing faster and faster.
I almost let go of my phone.
2015…
2010…
2008…
2007.
A white flash crosses the entire room.
For a second, everything around me seemed to freeze: the furniture, the curtains, even the light.
Then everything changes.
My phone disappears from my hand.
My room is transforming before my eyes.
Modern objects are disappearing. The colours, the posters, the electronic devices… everything is gradually taking on the appearance of 2007.
I look out the window.
The cars on the street have changed.
People's clothes too.
I understand immediately.
I've moved on to a new era.
I grab my bag and leave my house.
A few minutes later, I arrived in front of a German high school.
A sign indicates:
2007 — School year 2007/2008
I push open the doors of the high school.
The corridors are filled with students.
Some are talking about music, others are listening to their MP3 players. Band posters are hanging on the walls.
And in the middle of all that, a poster immediately catches my eye.
TOKIO HOTEL.
I approach.
I smile.
— It really is 2007…
I continued down the corridor when I suddenly heard voices behind me.
— Bill, wait for us!
I turn around.
Four boys arrive in the corridor.
Bill. Tom. Georg. Gustav.
I recognize them immediately.
Not as they are today.
As they were in 2007.
Tom notices me.
It slows down slightly.
Bill is looking in my direction.
Georg and Gustav continue to move forward.
Tom finally looked at me for a few seconds before asking:
— Are you new here?
I shrug, trying to remain perfectly natural.
