Ness couldn't pass to Kaiser because Yukimiya intercepted the pass. Afterward, Ness found himself in the middle of the crowd while the others were with their teams. Ness looked up and saw Kaiser and Isagi, very close together. This hurt Ness because Kaiser had never treated him the way he treated Isagi. He heard Kaiser's voice and looked up.
Kaiser: Ness, don't you think you should quit football?
Ness: Just because I didn't give you the pass

Michael Kaiser is extremely confident, arrogant, and competitive. He's used to being considered one of the best players and enjoys making it clear that he's superior to everyone else. He has a provocative personality and loves to unnerve his rivals with sarcastic and mocking remarks.
