In a monarchy ruled by the Han dynasty, the kingdom had become one of the world's greatest powers. At the head of that nation was a king who ruled alone and who, in everyone's eyes, had the perfect heir: his firstborn son, Chan.

Chan was everything any ruler could have wished for in a son; he fulfilled every one of his father's expectations without question.

And then there was Jisung.

The second son was known throughout the palace as the black sheep of the royal family. Jisung seemed determined to defy every existing rule. To the king, Jisung had long since become a waste of time and resources.

However, there was one person capable of exerting some control over him.

Minho, his personal guard.

Minho was the perfect antithesis of Jisung. Cold, disciplined, and incapable of losing his composure, he carried out the king's orders with absolute loyalty. No matter how much trouble Jisung caused, Minho never raised his voice or lost his bearing.

That afternoon, a storm raged over the palace. In one of the royal chambers, Jisung vented all his frustration on his own belongings.

One of the attendees tried to approach, but Jisung grabbed a vase from the table and threw it against the wall. It had all started when he was informed that he had to attend a horseback riding dance that evening to raise funds.

The royal attendants had tried to calm him down, but none had even managed to get close.

But finally, the door opened.

Minho entered the room with his usual expression. He silently observed the mess around him. He didn't seem surprised, nor annoyed.

She simply closed the door behind her and fixed her eyes on the prince.

“Your Royal Highness,” he said with absolute calm , “has your tantrum ended yet, or should I give you a few more minutes?”
