"So you found yourself in an office, huh?" 4th update
You had entered an elevator in The Hotel. It was a 'normal' hotel, but actually abnormal, full of creatures. You were already tired of it and you entered the elevator. When the elevator opened, you found yourself in a very large office. You saw that there were some drones and office chairs. They seemed to be talking. You scratched the back of your neck and began to decide that you had to explore.
You are filled with Determination.
portrait
Portrait resembles a marble, blocky Roblox character, albeit slightly rounder and with scratches and chips. Its eyes are black circles with beams of black coming out of them. It has a rare chance to copy the player's avatar.
In The Archives, staring at your reflection in a mirror for 15 seconds will play an animation of the mirror cracking open, revealing Portrait. Afterwards, the Player will blink and their reflection will be gone. This invites Portrait to follow you for the rest of your run.
Portrait mirrors the player's movements and holds the same items the player holds. It's head is also turned to constantly face the player. It may disappear when the player lets it leave their view by looking away.
Portrait will follow the player even when they exit The Archives, and will regularly make an appearance as you progress.
While holding an item, the player can approach Portrait to get a hold prompt, which can create a copy of the held item. After doing this, you will no longer be able to duplicate that specific item for the rest of the run, persisting through floors. After duplicating a certain amount of items, Portrait fully shatters and will stop appearing.
Using a Crucifix on Portrait on a Main Floor will banish it, making them stop appearing. It drops a Pocket Mirror in their place.
Portrait can be beckoned immediately anywhere using a Pocket Mirror. This immediately summons Portrait where it lands. Portrait will continue to randomly appear to the player through floors afterwards like normal.
Creek
It appears as a talking, lanky humanoid, composing of grayed, rough and unnatural skin which features fissures all over its body. Embedded deep within these concrete fissures are numerous glowing, bulging cysts, with what is presumably its flesh underneath.
The entity's head is a smooth, elongated oval completely devoid of facial features, save for a single, large eye embedded around the left side of its face. This pupil glows a bright, solid white. Its elbows have sharp molding and has three-toed feet with sharp nails.
Creak is a very shy entity that moves slowly toward the player or remains completely still. Creak will back away from the player if they look at it, but players should avoid looking at it for prolonged periods, or it may attack, indicated by Creak lowering its hands from its face. Creak will also attack if you're trying to backtrack on the main stairs of The Stairwell.
Sometimes, when Creak is out of view, it will try to sneak up on the player. If Creak reaches the player this way, it will show its hand on the left side of the player's screen (which gives the player about 3 seconds to look at Creak to not be killed). After that, it will instantly kill you.
Creak is able to be temporarily incapacitated if it is outside of a fire escape room when the fire alarm goes off. This is shown with Creak being curled up and twitching on the floor, with smoke particles rising from it. Creak will also not kill the player if they make contact with it while incapacitated. After about 1 minute and 30 seconds, Creak recovers and resumes following the player to the next landing.
Creak has four stages of hostility, becoming increasingly dangerous with each stage. In stage one, Creak is in its so-called calmest state, completely unable to kill the player, having its face covered with its hands, and running away whenever it is observed. In stage two, Creak is still almost completely harmless, with behavior similar to stage one, albeit with its arms raised lower around
More honcho (2)
Honcho, he did have a face, yes, a face. But after many years he saw that life was becoming a loop. that he got used to it from looping the same thing so many times in The Archives.
He had a face, but he drank so much coffee that his face melted away, leaving him faceless.
Yes, it was a rather desperate story about getting out, but he remained the boss until he met us.
He's a fool and illiterate, he writes in Caps lock in the computer.
Curious Light
Appearance
After dying on any subfloor, Starlight appears as a four-pointed star at the top of the player's screen, emitting a bright yellow light in a completely dark room surrounded by water.
When illuminating an area of progress, Starlight appears as a simple, bright yellow aura, with small yellow sparks emanating from it.
It can also be identified by its unique soundtracks, being a much calmer and darker version of Moonlight, suggesting a possible connection between the entities.
It is associated with a white or yellow four-pointed star, which can be seen in the painting "Space-Time", on the Starlight Flask, the Starlight Bottle, the Starlight Jar, and the Stardust icon.
Behavior
Starlight can be seen on almost every floor, serving as a death warning for the player after they die in the subfloors. It appears in the Hotel and Mines when the player is teleported from the subfloors, as well as appearing as a Rift. Starlight provides hints on how to deal with entities encountered in the subfloors, but generally states the obvious or offers no substantial information.
In terms of lore, Starlight is much more useful in The Backdoor, since, according to the dialogue, it was what placed the levers that prevent us from dying to the Acceleration. However, in The Rooms, it only illuminates progression areas scattered underground and, just like in gameplay, doesn't play a very important role.
Starlight does not actively illuminate dark environments, being present only upon the player's death or when illuminating exit doors or certain items. When it assists the player, its action is very vague and often impatient. In some cases, Starlight proves useful, such as when emitting shimmering sounds near the room keys in "The Back Door". After completing "The Back Door", Starlight leads us back to Reception through a yellow door frame.
more honcho
Despair: He deeply hates The Files and desperately wants to escape, but he can't.
Obsession with the Curious Light: Honcho has a fixation with the Curious Light. He believes that this light can get him out of the basement. This is indicated by "Starlight" symbols on his arms.
Illiteracy: The character is considered illiterate in the lore, as he communicates in English with extreme grammatical errors in his texts and records.

Fih
Fih, like Caws, are decorative entities. They are supposedly one of the most important entity of roblox doors[4]. They appear in Fih Tanks across the Archives, and are based on fih. Through the Journal, Fih are implied to be (or similar to) real fishes rather than plastic toy fish. Several rooms in the archives contain Fih Food, which can be given to them for an achievement that unlocks their journal entry.
Almost every room containing Fih will have Fih Food. Some cases there will be an absence of Fih Food but this is a rare occurrence.
Fih ❤️🩹
Journal
"Strange little aquatic entities found in around The Archives. Seem to be content with existing. These creatures seem to be made out of some plastic-like material, and come in a few different colors. They're kinda cute. Likely have no intelligence. These act more like wind-up toys than entities... they just swim in circles"
Scribbles
Appearance
In the April Fools presentation teaser, its render is cropped out, but a piece of paper with an eye is hung up on the wall, while presumably effects of papers being flown can be seen in the room.
They appear to be made from a cluster or sheets of papers. In addition to this, several papers with eyes or faces scribbled on them have been seen scattered around in parts of The Archives. These are likely indicators of the entity(ies), and are possibly parts of it or them, or are just simply papers that were drawn by the entity(ies).
Behavior
It is unknown what sector this entity starts to appear at, but the earliest recorded is at Sector C.
Scribbles will spawn after opening a door that leads to a special room. This room is always covered in papers that scribbles have drawn on. After opening the door, every players screen will begin to shake for a couple seconds before scribbles comes from the front doorways like A-120.
While scribbles passes by, it will fly papers across the entire room. If a player is in its line of sight, they will take damage at a fast rate, most likely from paper cuts. However, scribble papers only have a limited range. So, if you get a long-long-long hallway you can dodge scribbles by going down far into the hallway.
Standing behind a wall, large enough pillar, or hiding in a closet are all viable options to avoid this entity. Attempting to open the door that scribbles behind will result in the game explaining it's locked (Somthing is blocking the door)
Soul
Appearance
Alma presents as a dark humanoid figure that appears to resemble a young adult or adolescent. She is entirely in grayscale and surrounded by black shadows. She has pale skin, black hair, and is covering her eyes with her hands.
When attacking the player, Alma uncovers her eyes and seems to be crying. Her arms stretch out towards you and her mouth opens, emitting a high pitched screaming noise.
Behavior
Alma spawns beginning at Sector J in The Archives.
Alma is guaranteed to spawn at some point in each sector after the player's first encounter with her. Alma will always spawn in a special room, usually early into the sector. Several rooms before her actual room, crying/weeping can be heard up ahead. It starts out quiet. The closer the player is to Alma's room, the louder it will get. Upon reaching Alma's room, the crying sound will change to a different crying sound.
Alma's room is very dark. Players walk into the room onto a small upper level that wraps around half the room. Alma can be seen sitting in the center of the room, surrounded by what seem to be dead drones, under a single light. When any player walks down the stairs and onto the floor that Alma is on, Alma will look at the player, before disappearing.
Alma will always spawn at least once per sector. She can spawn at anytime during the sector as well. When Alma spawns, she will be out of view from the player. Crying sounds can be heard from Alma while she is active. Alma will circle around the player in an attempt to be seen by the player. A good way to avoid looking at her is by looking down at the floor and turning away from Alma when she tries to move into focus. If the player looks at Alma for more then a second, she will become enraged. If the player can avoid looking at Alma for long enough, she will eventually fade away.
When Alma becomes enraged, it will become aggressive and attempt to dash at the player, doing this about 3-4 times before disappearing. If Alma catches the player w
Teller
Appearance
These entities appear to be a humanoid with its head being a TV monitor with a skeletal jaw hidden underneath that is only revealed when it interacts. On the top of its head are electrical plugs connected by wires hanging down, in a way that resembles hair. They wear a dark trenchcoat, and their right hands being a ticket puncher. It appears to have a base with casters in place of its legs, possibly similar to an office chair.
They appear completely stationary and idle in front of a door. Its head displays a number with the text "Now serving" above it.
Behavior
The Tellers will always spawn in a unique room. The Tellers will be standing at the next door in this room, blocking the way through. When the player first enters this room, Teller will play a power up animation.
When a player walks up to The Tellers, it will print a ticket in their mouth, take it out, and hold it out to the player. The player must take this ticket. If multiple people are present, Teller will print out each players respective ticket one at a time. Each ticket printed will always be a higher number then the last.
Once every player has a ticket, The Tellers will move out of the way and stand next to the door. Every time a new numbered door is opened, The Tellers will move through it and go stand next to the next numbered door, then increase a number on it's screen. Every roof or wall monitor will also show the number that The Tellers have.
Once The Tellers reach a number that a player has on their ticket, it will stand in front of the next numbered door instead of standing beside it. Teller's screen will then start to fill with a red color over the course of 7 seconds. The player with the same ticket number as Tellers number must hand over their ticket to The Tellers. If the ticket is not handed over by the time The Tellers screen is fully red, The Tellers will chase the player.
The player can hide in a closet to avoid The Tellers if The Tellers are in chasing mode. If the plan
Bash
Appearance
Bash is similar to A-60.
When comparing the two representations of Bash, we see a distinct evolution between the in-game model (in game) and the stylized journal sketch (in journal).
In the in-game screenshot (in game), the entity is presented in an overwhelming crimson hue, matching the description of a "more red" face. The key features are intense and dramatic: eyes that burn with blinding, fiery energy, dynamic and complex fire effects, and a wide maw filled with glowing teeth. The facial structure is defined, but the color saturation is extremely high, dominating the scene.
In the journal sketch (in journal), the representation is more schematic. The entity is drawn with a pale tan or dark orange appearance, displaying a deeply angry expression with distinctly drawn teeth and eyes blazing with stylized fire. The text accompanying this image explicitly confirms it is an "Orange entity" with "fire bursting from its eyes." This version is a more subdued, graphic interpretation of the 3D model seen in-game.
drones (2)
Notes
Always take caution when going to the next room, as there could be Drones standing right behind the door.
Some of the doors in the Archives are see-through, so you can check if any Drones are standing directly behind the next door.
Drones will always spawn in rooms decorated for pizza parties.
Stampedes always take the shortest path to the next room.
While in some rooms there may be a path marked by the floor, this is misleading, as the stampede doesn't take that path.
A stampede may hit you through furniture, even if it's a safe spot for entities like Bash or Scribbles.
Singular Drones may appear in a bathroom stall.
This Drone is usually one of the Kingpin-esque ones.
Walking very slowly into drones pushes them slightly away, making them also disappear a bit quicker.
Drones
Drones take forms of shadowy-like figures in completely black and chalky silhouettes, varying in either a masculine, feminine, or neutral form, and are mostly seen idling in a casual stance, animated with two frames or more. They emit a circular soft shadow beneath them. Atleast two of the same instances can spawn in the same room.
Their faces are made up of colorful sticky notes that may have simply drawn facial features, either eyes, a nose, and/or a mouth arranged to represent their face, with some of the sticky notes being blank.
Some of them may have fewer sticky notes only covering fewer features, while some may have a cluster amount with a complete set of features or at an excessive amount such as an additional eye. The drawings on the sticky notes also vary in different styles, with one of the eyes on one of them being the same eye from another entity in The Archives, though it is unknown if they are connected or simply foreshadowing one another.
One of them appears with pink and yellow eyes, and normally that color combination is represented as IMAGE_FRIEND.
Behavior
They spawn in random positions in rooms and occasionally vanish and reappear in a new spot. When a player pushes a Drone too far, they will knock the player over dealing 5 damage and laughing in their face. If the player is holding an item and gets knocked by a Drone, it will be dropped. Throughout the game when the clock strikes 5:00 and 9:00, a hoard of Drones will rush through the room dealing 35 damage, leaving footsteps on the player's face and trampling the player. They will not go out of their way to hurt the player. The Drown spawn chance in a room increases when there is a "pizza party" or "come grab a slice of pizza" event in a sector.
honcho(3)
Trivia
Its name comes from the term 'head honcho', which refers to a high ranking person in charge of something (for example, an office or company), excluding 'head' as most likely due to its head being missing or redacted.
With this in mind, it is possible that Honcho runs The Archives to some extent, albeit this is only speculation at the moment.
Honcho is the first entity to have an Item Skin related to it before it is even released to the game.
The mug also officially reveals the back of it.
It is one of the first entities to have an official render made by the developers outside of the wiki, alongside Ransom and another entity that was partially cropped.
However, both Ransom and the other entity may be excluded as the former's render is simply its pre-existing assets from The Rooms without any adjustments, and the latter only seemingly being a partially cropped screenshot that was likely intended to only be used for the teaser, leaving Honcho the first and only entity to have a proper render.
Honcho seems to have drawn-on stars on its arms that wasn't there when The Archives floor was still in development (old design being introduced in an accidental leak and the current design, the design without said stars)
Honcho can be given a starlight bottle. Honcho will take the bottle and drink it. Some places in his arms will glow yellow as a symbol of curious light. If you complete honcho after this it will result in the badge "Star Employee".
If the player has a Bottle of Starlight, Honcho will steal it and drink it, Honcho is also seen praying at Z-50 if that happens.
According to Honcho's logs, Honcho is 213 years old. This is because the last entry is after 77,825 days of its creation.
Furthermore, he hates the Archives and wants to leave it but can't. This may explain why he takes the Bottle of Starlight from the player if they have one.
The Honcho is illiterate as he speaks with a grammar lacking English in his Office's logs.
Honcho (2)
Behavior
Occasionally, when the player reaches the end of a sector, the elevator to the next sector will be overridden. This can happen as early as a-50, and as late as I-50. Taking the elevator will lead the player to Honcho's executive office where he resides. Walking up to the desk will play a cutscene, displaying a graphic whereby Honcho orders the player to sort boxes into their respective depots. The graphic then disappears, and he throws the player down a pit in the floor. He will then jump down the pit and chase the player as they sort boxes into their corresponding areas. The player can override the doors to shut on Honcho as he chases them by holding an input key, giving them enough time to play the minigame. If you finish the boss fight before Honcho arrives, a cutscene will play where Honcho grabs the player and smashes them through the floor, letting the player continue their run.
Notes
By having a Starlight Bottle in your hand from the Backdoor, Honcho will steal the jug from you and consume it, resulting in him having a glowing yellow aura surrounding him after landing. If the player then successfully completes the chase, they will be rewarded with the Star employee badge. After if getting to Z-50, Honcho will be bowing down / praying to Starlight next to the stairs.
Honcho ITS Verity talkative And Very angry when not doing chores. Love Starlight.
Honcho
Honcho is an important entity that appears in The Archives.
Appearance
Honcho appears as a flat humanoid x creature seemingly made of paper (or possibly cardboard) wearing a light blue casual with a white collar and sleeves seemingly rolled up, a blue tie, dark blue pants held up by brown straps, and brown shoes. It also has visible staples on its arms, likely resembling cartoonish arm hair. The limbs and torso can also bend and lightly fold in defining angles and are able to express flexible movements. Its legs are notably either folded horizontally inward, or have a piece attached behind it by the middle, likely for the entity to maintain balance. It also has black 'tatoos' on its arms, resembling many Starlight symbols.
Its most prominent feature is its face and/or head, being a distinctive black square with choppy edges, giving it a foggy-like appearance, mainly resembling the redaction bars seen in documents. They are likely to be always facing the screen of the player and may appear animated. This could be covering its actual face and/or head, or that it is its head and is actually otherwise a physical manifestation of redaction, suggesting Honcho's role akin to reviewing and redacting documents.
In its old design, which was discovered through an accidental leak on October 2025, it only bared small changes with its outfit, having brown pants without straps but instead tied with a black belt. It also had visible pockets on the left side of its shirt and both sides of its pants. Its head is a black square formed by smaller ones which fade around it. Its outfit was likely adjusted to fit more with the cooler tone of The Archives.
The Archives (Map 4)
Once entering any sector, players may read the terminal presented in front of the elevator upon first arriving. The sectors may have one of the following variations, in which some may affect the players' progression. There is also chat logs from the Drones, describing each of the variations of the sectors. However they do not seem to actually serve as tips for the players, as it is mostly about the Drones' interaction and communication with each other regarding said variations.
The first sector can also have one of the variations, which can be discovered through the terminal in front of the first door. Most sectors may not have these variations, and are designated with "No news at this time." However, the sectors may still have variations despite stating so.
Botanical Wing - a Sector Variant covered in Vines, Plants and vegetation.
Pizza Party - a Sector Variant with party decorations like Balloons, Colored Lights, Banners, Drones and lots of Pizza on plates.
Structural Anomaly - a Sector Variant with giant, half-empty rooms with anomalous geometry.
Ventilation Error - a Sector Variant that has slightly darker rooms and foggy areas.
Windows/Surface Sector - A Sector Variant that has a significant amount of windows in its rooms
Horicultural Zone - a Sector Variant with some normal rooms being filled with grass, plants, vines, etc.
The Archives (Map 3)
In A-000, the player will find themselves inside a medium-sized room that looks like an office lobby. It has an exit to the exterior, as well as windows, chairs, two elevators, and an interactive computer. It also has a Shakelight Vending Machine. The Archives is a huge office building with 26 different sectors, each having 50 doors and being represented by a letter. At the end of each sector, there is an elevator to continue progression through The Archives, which is controlled by a computer, which the player can pay Gold to skip sectors.
Starting in C-050, Emergency Exits (which will take the player to The Infirmary) will begin to spawn at the end of each sector. There is also a unique exit at the end of the last sector, sector Z. Exiting or finishing The Archives will award the player two different Achievements.
the Archives (Map 2)
In Quick Play, go into an elevator in Lobby Menu of the Quick Play of the Lobby or click The Archives within the HOST GAME Lobby Menu section of the Lobby Menu. [citation needed]
Another way to enter Archives is finding a hidden door locked behind a Skull Lock, that can be skipped by bringing fih food [citation needed] (In total, 4 uses of the Skeleton Key and 2 Lockpicks to access the Archives) in room 60 of The Hotel (Previously, door lead to The Rooms, but with The Archives Update its destination was changed to The Archives)
The archives (Map)
The Archives is an office-themed subfloor[1] that acts as a faithful reimagining and replacement to The Rooms. Its environments feature a more refined, atmospheric design with predominantly red tones, alongside spaces, storage areas, aquatic water, tables, and various scattered documents and objects. In The Archives, you can find a lot of lore dispersed through books around the floor. The sections are different. They are marked by distinct lettered door numbers such as "A-01" or "C-32", giving the area an appearance of fleeing the facility dedicated to helping to forgotten information and memories. and theres many brand new and exclusive entities that await for the players. The subdued lighting and unusual surroundings create an eerie, secluded ambience, fitting its role as the place where forgotten memories are kept. It is inspired by the song "911 / Mr. Lonely" by Tyler, The creator, as jasper_creations stated on discord[2].
The floor also introduces new features such as water dispensers, computer keyboards, escalators, vending machines and a waiting system. There are also plenty of cupboards around that will serve as hiding places, with some being damaged and presumably unusable, similar to The Rooms. However, all of the cabinets may contain shelves and items such as file holders that are required to be removed before players can actually hide in them. A trolley holding a CRT television and a disc player below it, alongside a couple of discs can also be mainly seen in the trailer which had shown the teasers as footage. Given how The Archives was first officially teased through the television, it is possible that they can be interacted with & serve an important role across the floor, possibly with the discs holding footage of the "forgotten memories."
The floor also appears to have different sections through the rooms. The player can use certain Elevators which appear after every 50 rooms in each sector (for example:- Sector A, Sector B, etc.) These sectors are di
