Taehyung looked at the letters of Jimin's messages: 'You said you don't like Jungkook. But he suits my taste.'

Fingers shaking with anger, he swiped away the conversation and opened another one, with Jungkook himself, where the younger, filled with righteous anger, ordered his bodyguard to come to him immediately. The older man's response was incomprehensible, for it was a refusal: "I can't, Tae. You had no scheduled appearances today, so your friend hired me. I'll work it out and then come back, my model."

The so-called model, which the young man was, jumped up and began pacing the room. He was ready to scratch Jimin's eyes out, and someone else's back, too. He rushed to the phone again—threats and even, God forgive me, requests to return were pouring into his bodyguard's private messages, but each one was met with the reply, "I'll come when the paid hours are up."

Then a brilliant idea occurred to him: play the exact same game. For a model of his caliber, this wouldn't have been a problem, but Taehyung chose a guaranteed fail-safe option.

And a working one, as it turned out. No sooner had the young man tweeted a photo of himself with Jin, his longtime crush, and described it as a restaurant date than, about 20 minutes later, a new message from Jeong arrived in his private message:

'Come out, Taehyung. I'm at the door of this diner.'
