General information: A minor character in Atomic Heart, one of the main characters in the "Enchantments of the Deep Sea" DLC and the final DLC "Blood on Crystal." She is the daughter of "Baba Zina" and the wife of Sergei Nechayev (P-3). Her consciousness served as the basis for the Twin robots.

Appearance: In her human life, she was a young woman with distinctive facial features. After her death, her brain was divided and placed into the bodies of two robotic ballerinas—Left and Right. In the "Blood on the Crystal" DLC, Katya receives one of these bodies, gaining a physical form.

Personality: Katya was a cheerful and open person. It was she who once melted the ice in the gloomy Sergei's soul, and romantic feelings blossomed between them. In Limbo, she appears as a caring and loving wife who helps her husband remember his past. In the DLC, her witty comments make the events especially vivid. At the same time, she is troubled by the absence of her own face and body—she admits that a person who cannot see themselves in the mirror can go crazy.

History: She studied ballet and martial arts since childhood. She served in the Argentum unit with Sergei. They married on April 17, 1943. In 1952, during a special operation in Bulgaria, the unit was attacked by terrorists. Sergei was saved by Professor Sechenov, and Katya died of her wounds. Sechenov uploaded her brain data into two robots, creating the Twins. In the "Prisoner of Limbo" DLC, she appears to Sergei as "Tear." In "Blood on Crystal," she receives the body of one of the Twins and, together with her husband, sets out for the final battle with HRAZ.

Interesting facts: The game features Katya's audio diaries, which became the basis for the creation of the Twins. Her character and tragic fate are one of the main driving forces of the Atomic Heart plot.

Name: Sergei Alekseevich Nechaev (call sign P-3).

General information: The protagonist of Atomic Heart and all its story expansions. In the Blood on the Crystal DLC—the final chapter of the saga—the Major arrives at the Crystal Complex to put an end to HRAZ once and for all. Along with Blesna and his remaining allies, he engages in the decisive battle.

Appearance: A large man with the stern appearance of a veteran. Due to severe injuries, his skeleton was augmented with a modern SPT-4 alloy, and his body was equipped with combat-ready polymer implants. According to the developers, he embodies the "hands" and "man of action" as opposed to the HRAZ as the "brain."

Personality: Brooding and somber. His caustic sarcasm is a defensive reaction to the world's cruelty. However, Nechayev wasn't always like this: before the events of the game, he was cheerful, open, and ready for adventure. He lost and forgot all the good things from his past, becoming a withdrawn and unsociable person. In the DLC, despite a serious injury and a virtual trap, his relationship with his wife Katya becomes more emotional, and he demonstrates loyalty to his team.

DLC Story: The events begin immediately after "Enchantments of the Deep Sea," with Nechayev standing on the shore, ready for the final battle. His mission is to infiltrate the Crystal Complex, where polymer humans are created, and destroy HRAZ. During the expansion, he is gravely wounded and his mind is trapped, but Nechayev revisits Limbo and reunites with his wife, Ekaterina. In the finale, the team manages to stop and seal HRAZ. The story of P-3 reaches its logical conclusion, leaving room for the universe to expand.

Interesting facts: P-3 wasn't originally part of the game's concept—other characters were planned as the main protagonists. He received the nickname "P-3" after being seriously wounded in Sechenov's laboratory. Despite his experience, he distrusts machines and doesn't know much about what's going on.

Name: Callsign "Hunter" (real name unknown).

General information: A minor character in the "Enchantments of the Deep Sea" DLC. A mysterious "security specialist" who found himself in the Triton complex during a machine malfunction. Voiced by Yuri Orlov.

Appearance: His look is built on contrast: beneath his bulletproof vest, he sports a formal tie, emphasizing the disconnect between his military background and his desk job. His tousled hairstyle, partly inspired by the P-3 style, hints at his military background and eccentricity. The choice of hairstyle was so important that it was personally supervised by the founder of the Mundfish studio.

Personality: Despite his extensive combat experience, he held a desk job for a long time, which shaped his wary, paranoid nature, yet he's always ready for action. Unlike the positive Nikolai and the darkly sarcastic P-3, the Hunter is completely indifferent to jokes. Initially conceived as a robotic, sarcastic, and uninitiated officer, his image later evolved into a darker and more realistic one. Initially, he clashes with P-3, but they later develop a mutual respect.

Story: In Triton, Nechayev finds weapons caches left behind by the Hunter. He introduces himself as a security specialist who tested cutting-edge weapons systems. He lost his entire family during World War II and has avoided close relationships ever since, so as not to relive the pain of loss. He, Nikolai, and Nastya help P-3 and ultimately leave the complex.

Interesting facts: The Hunter's real name remains a secret. His image and costume were carefully crafted to reflect his contradictory nature.

Name: Anastasia Nazarova (Nastya).

General information: Ichthyologist and cetologist at the Neptune underwater complex (DLC "Enchantments of the Deep Sea"). Nikolai Kholmetsky's lover. Voiced by Anastasia Nazarova.

Appearance: An attractive 25-year-old woman of Russian descent. She has curly reddish-brown hair styled to the side, blue eyes, and glasses. She wears a wetsuit under her winter coat. In 1954, she won a beauty contest. At Crystal, she created a polymer clay replica of herself (golden skin, but retains her eyes, hair, and glasses).

Personality: Nastya is kind, positive, and very passionate about her work. Her main quirk is that she cares for the dolphins far more than she does for people. She understands the character of each of her charges and approaches them individually: she plays with some and treats others with respect. She is intelligent and principled, but selective in her relationships—she trusts only Nikolai, Okhotnik, and the Nechaev family. She harbors romantic feelings for Nikolai, but hides them for a long time, even though her analysis of "Samodelkin" showed that her feelings are mutual. In extreme situations, she displays composure and loyalty to her comrades.

History: In 1955, she worked at the Neptune Research Institute at the bottom of Lake Lazur. During a robot rebellion, she was trapped along with Nikolai and the Hunter and rescued by Major P-3 and Blesna. She assisted the major, and her dolphins found beta connectors at the bottom. After the rescue, she found herself on the beach. In the "Blood on the Crystal" DLC, she became a polymer technician and created a copy of herself to open doors, but it was captured by Charles and fatally wounded Nikolai. Despite the loss of her loved one, Nastya remained with the group and continued the fight.

Fun Facts: Players nicknamed Nastya "Chubby" after the announcement. Her love of dolphins became a meme in the community.

Name: Nikolai Kholmetsky (friendly nickname - Kolya).

General information: A minor character in the "Enchantments of the Deep Sea" DLC. A prominent robotics scientist from Moscow, he is one of only three specialists in the USSR capable of operating the unique SMD KIN-02 ("Samodelkin") robot. His appearance is based on blogger Kyle Hill, a reference to his first and last names.

Appearance: A man from the capital, his unusual hairstyle immediately emphasizes his "otherness" among the rest. He wears work overalls with numerous pockets and tools. Due to a texture bug during testing, his apron looked like his own skin, creating the eerie image of a maniac from a horror movie.

Personality: Kolya is a very positive person who laughs a lot and sincerely. His light humor is a deliberate contrast to Major P-3's dark and sarcastic sense of humor. Despite his outward cheerfulness, he is quite polite and charming. However, behind this bravado lies anxiety: according to the "Samodelkin" analysis, Nikolai is a "nervous" person prone to "ridiculous heroism." He is willing to take risks, but often does so awkwardly and clumsily. He is overwhelmed by feelings for the oceanographer Nastya (his oxytocin levels are even elevated), and he desperately wants to impress her.

History: Before the events of the DLC, he worked in the Academy of Sciences' reserve in Moscow. A few days before the robot malfunction, he was urgently sent to the Triton underwater complex on a secret mission from Professor Lebedev. When HRAZ activated the robots, Kolya found himself trapped and was about to shoot himself, but was saved by P-3. Along with Nastya and the Hunter, he helped the major, and his "Do-It-Yourselfer" repaired P-3's arm. In the finale, he escaped the complex on a submarine.

Interesting facts: The character was originally intended to be a technician of Eastern descent named Daniyar. His catchphrase, "Tomorrow at three," became a meme among fans.
