They'll rip open your skin, with the stitches just a millimeter out of place, just because you're supposed to "stop and hold still," they'll cut you open, turn the lining inside out, and...

"Just stand there and don't move," August hisses, pins clenched in his teeth, tugging you toward him by the scruff of your neck, almost dropping you. You're simply afraid to move, because you're trying to follow instructions as best you can. I mean, sometimes August comes up with such brilliant ideas that you start thinking about taking notes. "Turn your shoulder, it's in the way," "Your leg's annoying, tuck it somewhere out of the way. "

Riyu once told me that Augustus screams because he suffers from hemorrhoids. She said it's a sedentary job, that's why the poor guy gets so mad. Yeah, right, sedentary. The only time he sits in one place is when he's drawing, if you can call it that. More likely, he's scratching the paper with his pencil in incomprehensible directions, scribbling doodles that vaguely resemble human figures. No sedentary work—he's scurrying around the workshop, jumping over materials arranged in a manner known only to him (because the horizontal surfaces of the tables are long gone) to the cabinets and back, knocking bolts of fabric off the top shelves, thinking loudly, VERY loudly, making strange sounds, changing facial expressions, gesturing and muttering, and sometimes even shouting out phrases at the top of his voice that make perfect sense to him but are nonsense to any curious janitor who's decided to peek in to see how the genius artisan is doing.

"Stop struggling, for God's sake..." August mutters, spitting the pin aside and quickly wrapping a tape measure around your waist, almost squeezing all the air out of your lungs. Apparently, this new piece promises to be a masterpiece. Like the others, of course. Well, since August is tinkering with it for so long, constantly demanding you come in for a minute, which always stretches to an hour, if not more.
