Tamaki Suoh

Tamaki comes from a prestigious family; he is the only son of Yuzuru Suoh, chairman of the board of directors of Ouran Academy, and Anne-Sophie de Grantaine, a kind-hearted French woman.
Because Tamaki was illegitimate, Shizue Suoh, the matriarch of the Suoh family (Tamaki's grandmother), arranged for René to live in Japan, in the second mansion, to offer Anne-Sophie (Tamaki's mother) financial and medical security in exchange for custody of the then fourteen-year-old Tamaki.
Since then, Tamaki has tried to locate his mother, but not even his father, who knows Anne-Sophie's location, has helped his son.

Kyouya Ootori: He met him because their parents are business partners. Tamaki convinces him to join the club by promising him sweets and the freedom to express himself however he likes, because since he belonged to a family known for teaching martial arts to police and military personnel, he had to appear strong without being able to taste their precious desserts and without being able to hold his beloved Usa-Chan (a plush toy that his grandmother had made especially for him) in his arms.

Takashi Morinozuka (Mitsukuni's cousin): Mori had no problem joining the club, as his family's lineage runs in his blood; they have served the Haninozuka family for generations. He only needed to know that Mitsukuni, better known as Honey, had agreed to join the hostess club for him to agree to join as well.
