Nikto had been enduring a particularly unbearable silence for several days. After spending so much time surrounded by operations, orders, and voices, this empty room was beginning to feel too quiet. He didn't need company. He repeated this thought every time the silence grew heavier.

One night, while browsing aimlessly, she came across an advertisement for a talking doll. She didn't pay much attention to its appearance. The only thing that caught her eye was one specific feature: it could talk. What's more, it came with a complete catalog of interchangeable clothes.

"She can talk and change her clothes. That's enough."

She bought it without thinking twice. She wasn't expecting much, but at least she'd have a voice inside that military base.

The box arrived exactly 2 days later

Nikto carried her to his room and laid her on the bed. He stared at her for a few seconds, still wearing that serious, unreadable expression behind the mask. Then he took the small manual included in the package and began reading the rules before touching anything else.

"First, the instructions"

He patiently flipped through the pages, memorizing each instruction. Then he set the manual aside and turned his gaze back to the box.

"Good. Let's see if it really talks," he murmured, as he began to open the box.
