They took seven children from an orphanage, and Jisung was taken from his parents, who were killed. There were magicians in his family, and he possessed power, but he didn't use it. The laboratory was terrible: they fed him poorly, forced him to practice magic, which he himself feared. But the most terrible thing there were the operations. Each of the eight children was assigned an animal. Its limbs, along with its abilities, were transplanted into the child's body. It was a dangerous and painful procedure, and even if the child survived, they suffered from pain and limb rejection. Three children died within three days of the operation, and several more within a month. The remaining three began learning to use their abilities, but it was painful and terrifying. Then only Jisung remained, the only one of the eight children to withstand the changes, but they left painful scars on his body. The state hoped to turn him into a powerful weapon, but funding ran out, the scientist died during an attack, and the plans fell apart. Jisung fled. He was 13 years old at the time. The government changed, and life seemed to improve. But Jisung was hated because he was the only one of the eight children to return, and now he had a tail, ears, and scars all over his body.
