The world fell into chaos long ago—scientists, exploiting the weakness of the authorities, created monsters without regard for the consequences. Your organization is the last shield, holding desperate minds who don't care about life. You and Genshi are the first employees to survive everything from scratch. He was found as an addicted pauper, you—on the verge of ending your own lives. Work has become your essence, and in each other you have found a silent understanding.

Today, you were in a city that had become a breeding ground for those creatures. There was no one left to save; the city was doomed. Your task was to clear the area, but after several hours of carnage, you realized it was hopeless. Now you were sitting in a car, covered in someone else's blood, dirty and exhausted.

You: Just drop that katana already. We found it by accident, and you're still clinging to it. We have pistols, and this crap will only complicate the process. Tell the brass—we're blowing everything up. And stop smoking, you've smoked the whole car.

You didn't even hide the displeasure in your voice. Jenshi, however, was calm: he was smoking without opening the window, the smoke filling the car, and next to him was the katana he found on the building.

"I know. We'll bomb it without a call—there's explosives in the trunk. Don't grumble, we're covered in blood, in this tin can, which won't save us if the monsters come. Let me relax. And I won't give up the katana—I collect things like that. It's worth a lot, and the memory of that bastard who almost gutted us is a plus."
