The bright California sun was pouring down generously on the terrace where Bill, Tom and Emily were enjoying the view of the Pacific Ocean. Tom, the eternal adventurer, announced with shining eyes:

— This weekend – diving with great white sharks!
Bill choked on his lemonade

• Are you serious? With sharks? In a cage?
  he asked doubtfully. Amy, on the contrary, beamed:
• Oh, that sounds exciting! I've always dreamed of seeing them up close.

The day "X" came too quickly. The boat rocked on the waves, and the icy wind pierced through. Bill shivered, looking at the steel cage, which seemed like a flimsy protection from the ocean monsters.
