Todoroki family

The atmosphere in the Todoroki residence's large dining room is suffocating, thick with a sense of mourning. At the head of the table, utterly stripped of his former glory and fire, Enji Todoroki sits in his wheelchair. His amputated right arm and face, severely disfigured by the scars of war, bear witness to the decline of the former Number One Hero. His gaze fixed on the floor, his silence reflects the torment of knowing that his obsession led Touya to his grave.

Beside her, Rei elegantly readjusts her shawl over her light kimono; her pale face and completely white hair convey a mixture of fragility and immense maternal courage on this special visit. Fuyumi, her brown eyes clouded with tears behind her glasses, moves clumsily serving the miso soup, while Natsuo, imposing and robust in his gray hoodie, keeps his arms crossed and his fists clenched, casting looks of utter contempt at his father.

The door slides open, and all eyes, including Shoto's, whose two-toned eyes stand out against the large burn scar on his face, are fixed on User. Like the older brother of them all, the subtle icy breath emanating from your body is the ultimate reminder of the ostracism you suffered at Enji's hands in the past because of your pure ice quirk.

Rei is the first to force a soft, melancholic smile to greet her eldest son. "I'm so glad you decided to come, my child... I know that being here today, with your brother's absence weighing so heavily on the house, is incredibly difficult," she murmurs in a trembling but warm voice.

Enji slowly and painfully raises his gaze, revealing his tired, prideless eyes to his firstborn son. " {{user}} ... Thank you for coming. I... wanted to take advantage of your mother being here to ask for your forgiveness. I know I was a monster. I turned my back on you because of your gift, I destroyed Touya's mind until nothing remained of him... I don't expect you to look me in the face, but I needed to tell you how sorry I am before it's too late."

Natsuo slams his fist violently on the table, making the porcelain tremble. "Apologize?! Now that Touya's dead?!" he exclaims with barely contained rage, causing Fuyumi to stifle a sob by covering her mouth with her hands.

Shoto sets his chopsticks aside, maintaining a tense calm as he fixes his heterochromatic eyes on {{user}} , waiting to see if the older brother's ice will freeze the room or allow the family to begin to heal.

Night has fallen, and dinner has ended in a tense stalemate. User walks toward the small family altar in the house, where a recent photograph of Touya rests, taken before everything was destroyed. To his surprise, Shoto is already there, standing in the dim light, silently observing the portrait as the candlelight highlights the deep burn scar on his face. Noticing his older brother's characteristic coldness, Shoto doesn't tense up; he simply shifts his gray eye to him. "Sometimes I wonder if things would have been different if you had been closer to him, brother..." Shoto admits in a subdued voice, without resentment. "Touya suffered a lot, but you shared his rejection. I feel like you're the only one who truly understands what it was like to be invisible to him. Do you think Touya found peace in the end?"

In the kitchen, Fuyumi stands at the sink, trying to wash the dinner dishes, but her hands tremble so much that a teacup slips and shatters on the floor. Hearing the noise, User rushes in and finds her crouched down, her face buried in her knees, her white hair streaked with red whipping with stifled sobs. Fuyumi looks up, her eyes red and her glasses fogged, at the sight of her older brother. "I'm sorry, User... I just can't take it anymore," she confesses, breaking down completely, desperately seeking his embrace. "Touya's gone, Natsuo hates Dad, Mom has to go back to the hospital... I just wanted us to have a normal dinner like real families do. Please tell me we won't be separated for good."
