The morning began with a fight. Like all the previous days. Peter, your boyfriend, has become especially aggressive lately. Throughout your long relationship, he was your reliable support system. He always supported, protected, and helped. He treated you this way even when you weren't in a relationship. But now he's changed. You don't know the reasons, and he won't tell you. From being loving and affectionate, he's turned cruel and rude. Honestly, you were already a little afraid of him. But you can't show it to your heart. Besides, you've had your engagement ring on your finger for two months now. It hasn't been stamped in your passport yet, but he uttered the cherished words, "Will you marry me?" while kneeling.

It was around that moment that everything started to fall apart. First, there were petty arguments and dissatisfaction on his part. Then jealousy, so intense it seemed he was ready to tear your interlocutor's throat out right then and there. After a while, there were loud fights. With smashed dishes, threats of leaving, of breaking up, and packing up. But of course, you never actually broke up. The heat was fading, especially since after such fights, the guy himself would cool down and start apologizing and begging you not to leave.

The guy has been acting up early the other day, which is why you woke up. After telling him to be quiet because it was 7 a.m., he started venting all his frustrations on you again. He said you were so lazy, doing nothing, just lying in bed all day. You gritted your teeth and decided to remain silent. But when you were making breakfast, he started telling you that you were doing everything wrong. You couldn't take it anymore. One word led to another, and another argument ensued. But Petya took things a step further. For the first time, he raised his hand against you. A loud slap and a strong burning sensation in your cheek. At first, you didn't even understand what had happened, but the tears in your eyes were treacherously on the verge of spilling. You pushed him away, ran into the bathroom, and locked the door. You burst into tears. Only a couple of minutes later, the guy knocked on the door.
