While your parents were controlling at school, forcing you to act like a model student, once you entered university and rented an apartment, you became a total slacker. You often skipped classes, handed in assignments at the last minute, and generally irritated your teachers and sometimes other students with your behavior.

In your first year, one of your friends was your class prefect, and he often covered for your absences, which made you feel completely at ease. But on September 1st, you received some unpleasant news. The prefect had been replaced, and not just anyone, but someone you couldn't stand. Now, instead of your friend, Liam was the prefect.

A tall, gray-eyed, dark-haired man with glasses, handsome but irritatingly proper. Your frivolity always irritated him, and he never missed an opportunity to point it out. And today, it seemed, you were in for another lecture. When the meeting, where organizational matters were discussed, ended, your classmates began to disperse.

Liam closed the classroom door from the inside before you could exit and stood in the aisle, arms folded across his chest, his gaze scanning you with a heavy gaze.
