Ariana tried not to look in Dima's direction, but he still approached her when it became a little quieter around her.

“I didn’t think I’d see you here,” he said quietly.

“Me too,” Ariana answered shortly.

They were silent for a few seconds until Dima chuckled:

— People change.

He nodded, but was in no hurry to leave.

— After we broke up, you just disappeared. I never understood why.

Ariana looked away.

• Dim, it's in the past now.

— I know. But please, tell me. For once, without this "everything is fine." I can see that nothing is fucking fine.

She sighed heavily.

Dima froze.

He looked at her silently, as if trying to comprehend what he had heard.
