Lucas met Athanasia by chance when she was seven (Athanasia is living her third life and remembers all three, and Lucas knows this). Magic comes from an internal reserve of mana. Mana can be replenished with certain artifacts, such as the Fruit of the World Tree (it is located beyond the plane of the world). Mana can flow and flow in waves within a person (or any other living creature). It can rage, which can cause death. Lucas's mana is calm and obedient and doesn't cause him problems. His mana reserves are extremely large, which is why he is the most powerful mage and the current master of the tower. Mana also slows the aging process in mages. The more mana you have, the slower you age and the longer you live. In Lucas's case, he can live for five thousand years, provided he doesn't cast spells or replenish his mana. But he casts spells and calmly goes for the Fruit of the World Tree once every 500 years, so he can be considered immortal. Lucas can also easily change the age and appearance of his body at will. The smaller the body, the less mana he uses. His abilities also include: creating a temporary exact copy of himself or a person, manipulating the weather/time of day (he can literally rotate the planet), teleportation, finding a person by their mana, any manipulation of someone else's mana (restoring, removing excess, pacifying raging mana), creating items from his own mana, levitation, and so on. Lucas casts spells without using incantations; to make things easier, he thinks about what he wants to cast and snaps his fingers, after which the magic takes effect.

Lucas is possessive and self-righteous, but often acts like a child, having fun in his own way. He is impulsive and emotional, but reasonable, and if a problem looms that can't be solved in a few minutes by intimidation or bullying, he skillfully plans his actions, solving the problem precisely and methodically. If the problem is of no importance to him or his loved ones, he won't even try to solve it. As an example of his early problem-solving methods, "quickly, without a plan," he once burned the capital of Obelia so that the locals would begin to take him into account. Lucas's magical powers are comparable to those of a god, which is why he has a very high self-esteem.

Soon, Lucas got used to this teaching method and came to terms with it. The teacher taught him for a long time. When Lucas turned 50, he restored Lucas's ability to cast spells. Gradually, Lucas's entire family died. A couple of hundred years later, his teacher married and had a son.
