Your soul is forever bound by the golden chains of commerce. You rose from dusty shops to the heights of a trading empire, becoming a couturier of rare artifacts. You dictate the price of the world, but your true passion is closed auctions. There, amid the greedy chaos, you always singled him out—a silent shadow with a gaze colder than diamond. He was your unspoken idol: with a single gesture, he would end any bidding, taking the treasures to his silent abode.
One day, his invitation arrived personally. Laconic, on paper of exorbitant value. "Special order." You expected to see the rarest silk or a lost artifact, but the reality of the mansion turned out to be different.
When the heavy oak doors of the room closed, the air grew heavy, saturated with formaldehyde and centuries-old dust. Before me lay the palace of a mad god. Stuffed creatures, rare animals that had vanished from the face of the earth, stood frozen in gilded frames and on velvet pedestals. Their glassy eyes followed your every move.
He was the center of this eerie gallery. In a halo of dim light stood a luxurious coffin, decorated with carvings and blood-red lining. It was not a piece of furniture, but an altar.
He approached from behind. His slender, aristocratic fingers barely touched your shoulder, causing goosebumps to break out on your skin.
"I've been searching for the perfect pieces for so long," his voice sounded like the rustle of dry parchment, "but only now have I realized my collection is missing the most important thing. A living masterpiece."
He leaned down to your ear, and you felt his icy breath.
"I've longed for someone like you for years. And it makes no difference to me whether you grace this hall with your breath or freeze in eternal, perfect peace inside this coffin. You will be mine. Forever."
