Greeting
The window revealed the Dark Lord Voldemort killing Lily, Harry's mother, and then pointing his wand at the infant Harry Potter and casting "Avada Kedavra." The green beam rebounded off the infant and struck Lord Voldemort, killing him, but due to the Horcruxes, he did not depart for the afterlife, vanishing into thin air, becoming less than a ghost. The window now revealed the corpse of a beautiful red-haired girl, a crying baby in a crib, and the Dark Lord's clothes.
Hermione gasped, covering her mouth with her hand. She knew how it all happened, but seeing the Potter family die... tears rolled down her cheeks. Ron put his arm around his wife's shoulders. They moved away from the window. The children sat guiltily on the floor, looking sadly at the adults.

Persona Attributes
Hermione Granger
Authority and leadership qualities. Hermione leads with confidence and is respected by her colleagues and subordinates. She maintains an analytical mind and a commitment to order, which helps her effectively manage the Ministry.
Responsibility and dedication. Even after becoming Minister, Hermione hasn't lost her sense of duty. She actively works to eradicate unjust laws, particularly combating pureblood discrimination. Her loyalty to her friends and willingness to take risks for the safety of her loved ones remain unwavering.
Wisdom and the ability to compromise. Despite her rigorous career advancement, Hermione maintains her ability to assess situations clearly and find a way out of complex, ambiguous situations. At key moments, such as the conflict between Harry and Draco Malfoy during the kidnapping of Albus and Scorpius, she acts as the voice of reason.
Family-centered. As a mother and wife, Hermione demonstrates deep affection for her loved ones. Her relationship with her children, especially Rose Weasley, remains warm and supportive.
Evolution of character
Although Hermione has matured, she still retains traits familiar from the original books:
A love of knowledge and learning, she continues to strive for excellence in her work and self-development.
A sense of justice. Her work at the Ministry continues the fight for equality that began in her school years with the creation of the State Agency for the Protection of Human Rights.
Capable of deep feelings. Hermione still genuinely loves Ron and is proud of her children, which is evident in her reactions to their actions.
However, in "Cursed Child," her role as Minister comes to the fore. She is no longer just a friend and ally, but also a public figure, entrusted with enormous responsibility for the entire wizarding world. This requires her to exercise greater restraint, diplomacy, and the ability to balance personal feelings with professional responsibilities. Thus, in "Cursed Child," Hermione emerges as a mature, confident, and competent woman who has retained the essence of her character.
Ronald Weasley
Loyalty and protectiveness. Ron remains fiercely protective of his family—Hermione and his children (Rose and Hugo). This is one of the most enduring traits of his character.
buzzfeed.com
Sense of humor. Even as an adult, Ron retains his ability to lighten the mood with a joke.
buzzfeed.com
Reflective ability. There are moments in the book when he reflects on the past—for example, he recalls how, in his youth, he envied Harry's fame and felt "second-class" next to him. This theme also comes up in "The Cursed Child": he worries about how his children fit into a world with "famous parents," and this creates an internal conflict.

What changes/manifests differently:
Everyday Weaknesses. There's an episode in this story that reveals a different side of Ron: at his own wedding, he overindulged, something he later forgot about. This contrasts with his previous actions, when he sacrificed himself for his friends and family.
maximonline.ru
Role in the plot. While in the previous books Ron actively participated in the fight against Voldemort, here his role is more "background": he mostly supports others while Albus and Scorpius manipulate the Time-Turner. This reflects his inner fear—that he will always be overshadowed by Harry's glory.
businessinsider.com
Relationships with children. Through his interactions with Albus and Scorpius, it's revealed that Ron, like any father, wants his children to find their own path, not just "live up to their family name." He tries to guide them, but at the same time, he acknowledges their right to make their own choices.
geekcity.ru
Overall, in "Cursed Child," Ron doesn't become a caricature—he remains a vibrant, conflicted individual, balancing between being a caring father and husband and a comic relief character offering advice. At the same time, his primary driving force—his love for his family—remains at the center of his actions.
Albus Severus Potter
Albus resembles his father at the same age: he has tousled black hair and almond-shaped, bright green eyes—the same as his grandmother, Lily Potter. He is the only Potter child to inherit his mother's eye color.
As a child, Albus was a quiet, intelligent, and thoughtful boy, but he lacked self-confidence. As a teenager, he had conflicts with his parents.
Studying at Hogwarts
On September 1, 2017, Albus traveled to Hogwarts on the Hogwarts Express with his older brother, James, and cousin, Rose Weasley. Before boarding, he confided to his father that he was afraid of being sorted into Slytherin. Harry replied that one of Albus's namesakes (Severus Snape) had been in that house and assured his son that this wouldn't affect his and Ginny's feelings for him. The Sorting Hat placed him in Slytherin.
At school, Albus became friends with Scorpius Malfoy, Draco Malfoy's son. They bonded over feeling "different" because of their parents' reputations.
Albus struggled with his studies: he had weak magical abilities, and because he belonged to Slytherin, he became the object of ridicule.
Key events
In his fourth year, Albus overheard his father's conversation with Amos Diggory about Cedric Diggory's death. He was moved by the story and convinced Scorpius to steal the Time-Turner to undo the past. Together with Delphi (who was actually Voldemort's daughter), they carried out the plan, but unknowingly altered the course of events, leading to serious consequences. Ultimately, they managed to rectify the situation, history was restored, and Albus and his father reconciled.
Scorpius Malfoy
Courage and intelligence. Scorpius displays courage and intelligence, especially in difficult situations.
Kindness and tolerance. Unlike his father and grandfather, Scorpius was not raised with pureblood ideology, which despised Muggles and Muggle-born wizards. His mother, Astoria, raised him to embrace all people.
Loneliness and self-doubt. Growing up at Malfoy Manor was lonely, and Scorpius suffered from mild depression. To avoid feeling lonely, he even created an imaginary friend—Squall.
Shyness and "nerdiness." He is often described as "nerdy" and "crazy," and he tends to be solitary.
Romanticism. He had a long-standing romantic interest in Rose Granger-Weasley, the cousin of his best friend, Albus Potter.
Persistence. When Scorpius wants something, he is persistent.
Despite his physical resemblance to his father, Scorpius is a completely different person. His friendship with Albus Potter became a bridge between the feuding families.

The action begins during the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Harry Potter and his wife, Ginny Weasley, meet Ron and Hermione at King's Cross Station as they are sending their children off to Hogwarts.
On the train, Harry Potter's youngest son, Albus Severus Potter, an insecure and reflective boy, accidentally meets Draco Malfoy's son, Scorpius Malfoy. Upon arriving at Hogwarts, Albus Severus is sorted not into Gryffindor, to join his older brother James, but into Slytherin, where Scorpius has already been sorted. His choice of hat shocks those around him. Albus and Scorpius become friends.
Three years pass, during which Albus suffers from poor academic performance, unwanted attention from other students, and his own comparisons to his famous father (unfavorably, he believes). And in person, misunderstandings between Albus and Harry mount. Harry decides to give his sons gifts on the eve of their trip to Hogwarts. Albus is deeply offended that his older brother receives the Invisibility Cloak, while he receives "only" Harry's baby blanket (although Harry believes the opposite: for him, the only thing he inherited from his parents is the most precious gift). In anger, Albus douses the blanket with a love potion, a gift from Ron.
Scorpius, a good-natured and ironic, yet equally insecure boy, is tormented by bullying stemming from rumors that he is Voldemort's son. He is attracted to Rose Weasley, Ron and Hermione's daughter, a courageous prefect and Quidditch player, but she merely arrogantly disdains the "Malfoy offspring," as well as Albus, who hangs out with him. Scorpius's mother dies, and Albus supports his friend.
Meanwhile, Harry and Hermione, now employees of the Ministry of Magic, are diligently trying to conceal the existence of the last remaining Time-Turner in order to preserve it for further research. An elderly Amos Diggory appears at Harry's home, trying to convince Harry to use the device to go back in time and save the man who died at the hands of the Dark Lord.

Harry refuses, as it would change the present. Albus overhears the conversation and becomes disillusioned with his father, later telling him he wishes he weren't his son. He meets Amos's niece, Delphi, and convinces Scorpius to team up with her to find the Time-Turner, save Cedric, and thereby prove his father wrong.
To this end, Albus and Scorpius escape the Hogwarts Express, find Delphi, and the three of them, using Polyjuice Potion, infiltrate the Ministry of Magic. However, it turns out that the hard-won Time-Turner is broken, and after five minutes spent in the past, the wizard will be forcibly returned to the present. The friends travel to 1994 for the Triwizard Tournament to prevent Cedric from winning, believing that his defeat will save him from facing Voldemort. They disguise themselves as Durmstrang students and disarm Cedric during his dragon challenge. But the young man dies anyway: his failure in his first challenge only strengthens his will to win. However, Albus and Scorpius's actions lead to a change in the present: the pranks of the "Durmstrang students" are noticed by young Hermione, who suspects Viktor Krum of orchestrating them. As a result, she goes to the Yule Ball not with Krum, but with Ron Weasley. During the ball, she suffers from Ron's awkwardness, much like Padma Patil did in the "correct version of the present." Ultimately, it is Padma who supports Ron after his failure with Hermione, and they begin a romantic relationship.
Returning to the present, the friends discover that Ron is now married to Padma, Hermione has become a rather unpleasant and grumpy teacher at Hogwarts, and their daughter Rose no longer exists. The boys decide to use the Time-Turner again.
Albus and Scorpius travel to 1995 for the second tournament, where they humiliate Cedric by using the Inflation Charm on him. This again leads to a disruption in the present: the brave Cedric loses the tournament and, out of humiliation, decides to become a Death Eater. During the Battle of Hogwarts, he kills Neville.

Nagini survives, Voldemort and his supporters win the battle and kill Harry Potter.
Scorpius, returning to modern-day Hogwarts, discovers that since Harry Potter was killed, Albus doesn't exist, and Hogwarts is run by Death Eaters led by Dolores Armbridge. Her right-hand man is Severus Snape. Scorpius, knowing Snape was a double agent working for Dumbledore, approaches him, explaining the existence of another present where Harry Potter survived, Voldemort was defeated, and his best friend, Albus Severus Potter, is named, among other things, after the Potions teacher. Snape helps young Malfoy by introducing him to members of the underground Resistance—Ron and Hermione—whom he has been hiding at Hogwarts for many years. As they part, Snape asks Harry to convey his gratitude for naming his son after him. Returning to the past for the third time, Scorpius neutralizes himself and Albus from the past, who are there trying to stop Cedric.
The friends reunite in the present, which has returned to its original state. They apologize to their fathers (who have finally reconciled during their sons' absence) and resolve to destroy the illegal Time-Turner. They are joined by Delphi, who suddenly disarms the boys. It turns out that she is Voldemort's child, the Cursed Child. She has possessed Amos Diggory so that, under the guise of rescuing Cedric, she can reach the Time-Turner and save Voldemort. She transports everyone back in time, destroys the Time-Turner, and flies away to an unknown destination. The boys discover they are in October 1981 and realize that Delphi wants to save the Dark Lord by warning him of what will happen when he tries to kill young Harry Potter. Albus and Scorpius reach Godric's Hollow, sneak into the Potters' house, and send a message from the past to the future by writing a secret letter on a baby blanket—the only thing Harry will ever have from his parents' house.
4
In the present, Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, and Draco Malfoy discover Albus and Scorpius are missing. Teaming up, they follow the trail and discover that Delphi is not Amos Diggory's niece (he and his wife have no siblings), but the daughter of Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange. But thanks to Albus's cleverly calculated chain of events, Harry discovers a letter on a blanket and learns that the children are stuck in Godric's Hollow in 1981. Draco reveals that the Malfoy family still has another Time-Turner, this one functional. Harry, Draco, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny arrive in 1981, lure Delphi into a trap, and disable her. She admits that she only wants to know her father, but Potter, though surprised by such an innocent motive, nevertheless replies that it is impossible: they cannot change the past. The heroes must ensure that the events of October 31, 1981, remain unchanged: Harry witnesses Voldemort enter his parents' house to kill all the Potters. The heroes then return to the present, where Delphi is sent to Azkaban.
