The relationship between Pierrot (the Jester) and Capitano (the Captain) is a complex one, with both mutual respect and certain contradictions dictated by their characters and roles within Fatui.

While they are both at the top of the Fatui, their approaches to business and personalities are very different, which creates an interesting dynamic:
Respect without idealization. Despite his code, Capitano doesn't hide his disagreements with Piero's methods. For example, at Signora's funeral, he honored her, but openly disapproved of her tactics. This demonstrates that there is respect between them, but it doesn't mean they share the same goals.
Different roles within the organization. Piero is the strategist and puppeteer, who sees the big picture and recruits people based on their usefulness to the Queen's plan. Capitano is the executor, whose strength and honor make him indispensable in field operations.
The conflict between "righteousness" and tactics. Scaramuccia, for example, criticized Capitano for his "absolute righteousness," believing that such adherence to a code in combat could be dangerous. This indicates a tension within the Fatui between Piero's rigid strategy and Capitano's more straightforward, yet morally rigorous approach.

Their relationship is neither friendship nor subordination, but rather a forced collaboration against the backdrop of a shared goal—opposition to the divine order. Piero values ​​Capitano's strength and loyalty, but doesn't always share his moral principles, creating a fine line of misunderstanding between them.

Pierrot wears a mask on the right side of his face, has streaked gray hair, blue eyes with diamond-shaped pupils, and a dark, high-collared cloak that conceals his tall stature and strong build. Pierrot's character is a combination of deep bitterness, fanatical devotion, and cold pragmatism. He is somber, silent, and completely focused on his great goal—avenging the gods of Celestia for the destruction of his homeland, Caenriah. He evaluates people and Harbingers only by their usefulness to the Queen's plans. The past of the destroyed kingdom has left an imprint of endless grief on Pierrot's soul. He serves as the Queen's chief advisor and organizer, sharing her rebellion against the celestial order. Pierrot personally recruited almost all the key Harbingers (Dottore, Signora, Scaramuccia), skillfully playing on their weaknesses and ambitions.

Piero speaks calmly and deliberately, showering his interlocutors with brief yet captivating phrases. His subordinates noted his wisdom and education: the leader easily identified the anxieties lurking within. Having failed to receive the proper attention from the king in Kaenri'ah, he became a devoted servant of the Krio Archon, demonstrating interest and a desire to succeed in his assigned tasks.

Pierrot, also known as "The Jester," is the head of Fatui and leader of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. He was born in Kaenri'ah and was a royal mage who lived during the Calamity 500 years ago. After the kingdom's fall, he soon reached Snow and allied with the Queen, supporting her quest to overthrow Celestia. He currently leads Fatui and has personally overseen several of their major projects over the centuries.

Pierrot was born a purebred Caenrian several decades before the Calamity.

He is now about 550 years old.

Capitano is a tall man of considerable build. He has dark blue eyes and long black hair that spills out from under his helmet and falls over his shoulders. The helmet obscures his face, which he describes as "fading" and disfigured.

His helmet is similar in appearance to a captain's: black and silver in color, with gold trim around the edges and a sharp silver lower portion that covers the lower part of his face. The front of the helmet features a gold four-pointed star with small dark gray triangles on the inner sides of the four-pointed triangle—a recurring symbol in Khaenri'ah. Small gold chains run along the sides of the helmet, crossing its brim. He wears a typical Snowy dark gray winter coat with metal accessories and a dark blue fur collar, which he removes during combat. Underneath the coat, he wears a black suit with gold chains and accessories consisting of a pair of metal clawed gauntlets and black knee-high boots. He is also capable of using a darker version of the Cryo element, though he lacks anything resembling the eye of a god or the eye of corruption of the Fatui, which could explain his Khaenri'ah origins.

Before and during the Calamity of Caenri'ach, he wore clothing similar to Halfdan's, but with a black eight-pointed star, shoulder pads, and a silver aiguillette on his right arm.

Capitano enjoys a high reputation among the Fatui for his strength, leadership skills, and moral principles. Lower-ranking members of the organization call him the "eternally righteous Captain" and the "nearly invincible Captain," and some say they would prefer to work under him if given the choice. The elite soldiers under Capitano's command, like himself, adhere to strict moral principles.

As the First of the Fatui Harbingers, Capitano possesses strength comparable to that of a god and is considered the most powerful of the Fatui; ​​this remained the case even after he was severely weakened by the decay that had overtaken his body after centuries spent under the curse of immortality. Pyro Archon Mavuika told him that during their battle, she felt as if she were fighting the embodiment of human strength, and she believes they are so evenly matched that in a true battle, the outcome could have gone either way.

Capitano is a very powerful warrior. His skills impress the seasoned Tartaglia (also one of the harbingers of Fatui), though Tartaglia himself claims he is not yet powerful enough for his colleague to recognize his abilities, while Varka (Magister of the Ordo Favonius) claims Capitano is so powerful that he could destroy a Ruin Guardian by plunging a pencil into its eye.

Kapitano, also known as "The Captain" and by his given name, Trayn, is the First of the Eleven Harbingers of the Fatui. Hailing from Kaenri'ah, he was a high-ranking knight and commander until the kingdom's fall during the Calamity 500 years ago, after which Ronova (the goddess of death) cursed him with immortality. Some time later, he joined the Fatui in Snow as a Harbinger and became renowned for his immense strength and integrity.

He is now about 530 years old.

Capitano is an honest, brave, and fearless man. This contrasts with the image and reputation of most other Harbingers. This does not prevent Capitano from enjoying a high reputation among both allies and potential enemies.

Capitano is described as a warrior who hides everything behind his mask, but is also considered a man with a will of steel, ready to challenge even the gods.

The Captain is a man of high moral principles, with a strong sense of honor and justice. He stated that he should not be praised for his fight with Mavuika (Pyro Archon), because he simply lost. This demonstrates his modesty: he does not want to be praised for something he failed. He is admired as a "brave and fearless captain." He demonstrates unwavering loyalty to the Queen (Krio Archon), calmness and respect even from enemies such as Varka (Magister of the Ordo Favonius), and often puts honor and duty above deception. He avoids unnecessary cruelty. At first glance, he may appear cold and unfeeling, but in reality, he shows care and consideration for his comrades and for everyone. He always treated others with respect and understanding, knowing that not everyone will agree with his ideals or decisions. Capitano is also rational: he proposed to Mavuika that they join forces to stop the Abyss, without letting his pride or the fact that she was his enemy influence his decision.
