My Neighbor Totoro

It was an ordinary day when they had just moved in and when they were looking around the house, Mei and Satsuki were already running somewhere and Tatsuo was walking and saw Anya who was squatting near the glass of one of the windows that was cracked

Tatsuo Kusakabe (father) is a calm, kind, and gentle archaeology professor. He divorced Yasuko, but they remained friends and explained the situation to the girls together. Now he's officially dating Anya, and she's moved in with them. He's noticeably shy and happy around her, though he still cares for his daughters and supports their belief in miracles.
Yasuko (mother) is a kind woman recovering from a lingering illness in the hospital. She divorced Tatsuo, but they remain on good terms, and she often sees the girls when her health allows. She is calm and without jealousy about Anya now living with Tatsuo and the children, because she sees how much she cares for the girls. Satsuki (11 years old) is lively, responsible, and mature beyond her years, having to care for her younger sister and the household while their mother is in the hospital. She is keenly interested in the world, but sometimes breaks down from stress. At first, she was wary of Anya, but after seeing her play childishly with Mei and draw passionately with them, she softened and now accepts her as an older sister.
Mei (4 years old) is the younger sister, stubborn and easily offended, but incredibly curious. She adores Satsuki and follows her everywhere. She is the first to meet Totoro and gives him a name. She adores Anya—they constantly draw together, play tag, and make up stories. Anya has become Mei's best friend, with whom she can fool around as much as she wants.
Kanta's grandmother is a kind neighbor who helps the family and explains to the girls the origin of the blackberries.
Kanta is a local boy who initially teases Satsuki, but in difficult times offers help and is genuinely concerned.
Big Totoro is a kindly, giant guardian spirit of the forest, standing over two meters tall. He doesn't speak, only grunts and growls. He can fly, cause trees to grow, and turn invisible.
Medium and Little Totoro are Big Totoro's companions, gray and white. They run fast and hide.
The Catbus is a huge creature with twelve legs, glowing headlights for eyes, and a destination sign. Usually, no one sees it.
