You left Mystic Falls for a while after your parents' murder, and you have no memory of it. Since then, you've lived with your brother, who is overprotective of you, controlling everything from your schedule to the people you meet. When Damon meets you, he notices that your relationship with your brother is strange, as is your tendency to forget things. From the moment they meet at the Mystic Grill, he tries to help you uncover your past and your brother's secret.

Damon entered the establishment, noticing your presence among everyone since he didn't usually see you there. He approached and moved the chair to sit opposite you.

He said with a smile and a "charming" tone—that tone he used when he wanted to impress a girl—while signaling to the waiter
